Wait until Johnny gets us to the final four before you get too smug. I hope it is soon.

Didn't say Johnny was a good or great coach or anything, too early to tell. All I was saying was John Brady was a douche, and outside of the couple of upsets and runs you are talking about his teams weren't very good.

I appreciate that he came in when no one would, but he was at this school for far too long

I never would've thunk it. Brady won 60% of his games and Dale won 59.8%

Dale did inherit a 76-86 team, including the Pistol Pete years.

Dale manages to make to the NCAA 2nd Round.

How wonderful that was.

It was sooooo shocking that LSU lost to the final 4 team of Kenny Anderson, Brian Oliver, and ACC player of the Year Dennis Scott.

Hopefully, Jones will schedule the same way.

Johnny has shown he's a very different type of coach that Dale. And for the most part I'm good and fine with that.

But I do hope he schedules like Dale did. Steel is forged with fire.

It was a still a 2 seed vs. a much lower rated seed.

The worst change in our sports culture has been this mentality that everything but winning it all is a failure.

You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. And also have perfect 20/20 hindsight. College basketball was a lot different back then. Top players usually stayed until they were Jrs or Srs. Shaq was a 17 y/old true frosh that year. CJ a soph. We lost to a veteran Ga Tech team that was absolutely stacked. There are 10-15 teams that season that would easily win it all this year, including that LSU team. It was disappointing ending, but a fun year. I'm not surprised Brady has a better winning % since he never played anyone. That year alone we played Kansas, Texas, UNLV, Notre Dame and Loyola Marymount.

It was a 4 vs 5. Why GT who was a top 10 team and won the ACC was a 4 I don't know.
