His check downs, progressions and audibles all bode well for him trying to make a case that he has the ability to play on Sundays. Can anyone name another QB in the SEC that doesn't have his OC giving him an RPO and has these skills like Burrow? Or anyone in the NCAA for that matter?

Objectively - this thread is the exact reason LSU fans are called delusional.

you forgot his skill at trying to draw the defense off sides with his constant changing of his cadence before the snap.It worked a few times. Kid has it upstairs that's for sure . hope it all translates physically in the upcoming weeks.

He’s head and shoulders the best QB in the SEC

Joey B has a lot of potential.

He's not NFL ready yet, but give him two years to learn and polish his skills, and I think you may be right.

Heck, who knows, he may have a great year this year and come out early, although I lean toward him being LSU QB for the full 2 years, and then going to the NFL.

Yeah but what I was getting at is his ability to even make presnap calls. I haven't seen an NCAA QB in a while do that. And Haskins at OSU is in an RPO, Urban has strings tied to his positions because he wants to make all of the calls.

So just to summarize here, a guy that couldn't crack the starting QB lineup from a group that couldn't crack the NFL starting lineup, is suddenly now NFL caliber. OK, got it. Thanks for the expert analysis.

Not even close. He's not even the best QB in the West.

Hell, Bama's backup is better.

He's Danny Etling with a little more pop in his arm and a little better scrambler. Very premature, but if he spends two years at LSU, and continues to develop, I think he would make an NFL roster.

It's frustrating that Urban can have these guys stacked up, and Miles couldn't find ONE. And it was not about development; it was the inability to evaluate them.

Maybe the most interesting thing to watch is how Miami fares. If they are bad, then oh well; if they are good, then we are very good; if they are very good, but we handled them, then...oh yeah.
