Wow Burrow looked incredible last night. If he can keep up that level of play specifically with passing accuracy then LSU’s offense is going to give any defense in the country problems.

To me, it looked like Myles maybe was dealing with some nerves. His stats weren’t bad, but I thought his passes were a little on the wild side. Weather it’s nerves or lack of game reps, I’m hoping as the year progresses he looks more comfortable and accurate.

I know as far as SEC west schedules go, we have a solid slate ahead of us. Do you guys think that LSU can continue to pull away enough so that Brennan can get a meaningful number of reps against good teams? It’d be great to have a backup/future starter to feel great about late in the season.

agreed he didn’t seem comfortable at all. I’ve never seen him look comfortable, and that’s largely because it’s just tough to get in rhythm coming in as the backup with the 2nd stringers. I’d love to have seen us continue running quick tempo with him in so we could see a better representation of his progression

Brennan has a quicker release than Burrow, Burrow has a good head for the game. Keep in mind that Burrow has been a starter for an entire season, Brennan hasn’t had any significant playing time which hinders his growth. Burrow threw the ball 27 times last night, Brennan threw the ball 9 times. Brennan will not improve with mop up duty.

Didn't he engineer a good drive early on in the second half and then we basically just coasted?

I agree. When Myles learns to relax he will be awesome. He definitely has the arm and athletic ability.

He has always looked a little jumpy to me back there. I thought the same thing. Burrow is very comfortable in the role now. One other thing though is that Brennan played with a lot of subs so I am not sure how good the routes were. Pettigrew dropped a couple too.

Snap was slow getting to Brennan last night affecting running plays and timing. He played with 2nd unit and had drop on 2nd down. Palmer had hands on ball in end zone. He is not Joe Burrow but he will be good one.Would have been more productive with starters

He must learn to put touch on the ball. He was amped or something because everything was a laser

I agree with you about the snap. It looked like the ball was just floating back and he had to wait and it threw the timing of the play off.

Joe Burrow is better than last years Joe. Miles will be better as he get more experience.
We should remember this is a new offence. I don't care what anyone says. Its new plays different speed and until I see Mile with 1st team I'm gonna call it a very good performance.

Need some more of the blow outs to get Miles some PT. Would help slow the game down for him.

Let’s just hope they don’t put him in there when the whether is bad.

Brennan had a much better pocket awareness than I expected to see from him.

During the second half there was a thread with a lot of people shitting all over him, but the playbook had basically been taken away by then and we were on cruise control. It was obvious that Brennan wasn't going to launch downfield so the GSU D was loading the line, coming after him and the run.

According to off season reports, Brennan looked damn good with the 1s in practice, and that's encouraging. He has a quick release and a cannon. There were a few obvious miscommunications between he and his receivers, and time and practice can/will correct that.

We should have seen what the 3rd stringer had because Myles was not and has never been impressive. *see high school offer list, that’ll tell you everything you need to know.

Did you see all the true freshman qb’s play this weekend? We watched Bo Nix grow up last night vs Oregon.

I think MB should be further along than he is. JB is years ahead of MB.

He had 12 attempts, not 9. And 12 attempts in a blowout win is a hell of a good number; so get out of here with that b.s.

Also, some of y’all need to chill the frick out on Brennan. One, in the spring game, regardless of what it is, Brennan looked very poised compared to past appearances, which is b/c he got the reps and preparation for it. And overall, he looked comfortable last night. Two, he doesn’t get the reps and preparation going into a game week like QB1 does; so it is natural there would be some rust and hesitation, especially when he is also not playing with many of the #1’s.

He will continue to get some reps this season in other games and when the focus is on him next year, he will be fine.

I'm a big MB fan, but I will say that for someone that throws every day, he looked too erratic, and it was disappointing somewhat.

He's definitely a slinger. But, the cannon is only good if you can hit your target. Stand tall, poise, set your feet, play with confidence. He has the skills without question, just need to learn the "it" from Joe.

Brennan will be fine. Next spring it's his team. He will most of the reps with the 1's and he will get comfortable. He had one drop by Pettigrew and a nice touch pass to Palmer that could/should have been caught. Those two turn his stats into 9/12 for over 100yds and 1 TD.

He definitely had a case of the yips last night, but he'll be a very good QB for us the next two seasons.

Yeah, he was throwing some darts. He'll be able to get some into tight spots but needs that softer touch closer in.

Kid has a cannon for an arm though.

What’s Myles’ background running this type of offense? I thought his decision making was significantly slower than Burrow. Maybe that was just because Burrow has been around it so much longer?
