well to be fair, keiland is an upright guy who doesn't really have POW plays and doesn't use his size to run people over

The dude is 230lbs, why the hell doesn't he use his size?? Yes, he's fast in a straight line. But he's not quick in a short area bc he's so big and few that big are quick besides Adrian Peterson. Williams' lack of physicality is the difference btw him being a solid-to-good RB versus a really good or great RB.

Justin Vincent was great his freshman season, then down hill after that.

i could have ran through those holes. and, imo, shyrone carrey was much better. just couldn't keep the peace with saban.

There goes your credibility. Who in their right mind could make a statement like that?

This was a frick up on my part. I was confusing AB's 2004 season with 2006. My bad.

I remember watching Keiland in the Superdome against John Curtis his senior year. He was light years better than anyone else on the field. Despite showing a few flashes at LSU, he's been a bit disappointing.

Against crappy teams

on the road at UTenn and Arky in 2006, along with ND. that's 3 top 25 teams (top 10 at the time we played them)

he ran well against sound carolina last year and a few other SEC teams

Which RB will we all look back on and wonder what might have been if he got 20+ carries a game?

Alley. Well, more like what if Alley had gotten the starting job earlier in 04, or at least gotten a lot more carries against AU

KW has the measureables of a big back and the ypc to go with it. I think a problem occurs when thinking of him as a "big" back because he does not run like one. Addai, Broussard, and Scott all seem to have a lower center of gravity or more "seat in the pants." Those three could deliver and unload on a defender whereas KW typically does not ( Addai v. Florida, Broussard v. South Carolina, and Scott v. Appy State). He gets tackled easily and I think that's where the debate begins with fans trying to decided what type of back he is.

yeah keiland is a big guy who doesn't run with a lot of power. i don't deny that

the problem is that he may have gotten bigger to add power and in the process he lost speed

this is a kid who had scouts saying they'd pick him in the 1st right....in april 2007 after the 2006 season

I agree and I wonder if that's what limits him as a feature back with the coaches.

Keiland ran like a man from Bama on.......don't know what happened but he was much more physical from that point on........I think he will do big things this year.

i believe it does

he's also more of an outside back and miles wants i-form up the gut rushing by a big back

we're goin to run into similar problems with murphy next year, which is why i think ridley is our main back

Scott will destroy weak teams, but against better competition, his production drops off a ton.

C.S
vs UF 12/35 2.9yds (long 18, take that away 11rush/17yds)
vs S.C 16/61 3.8yds
vs Ole Miss 10/10 1.0yds (long 8, the rest 9rush/2yds)
vs Bama 24/92 3.8yds
vs Troy 24/90 3.8yds
vs Arkansas 12/28 2.3yds

I was pissed when Ridley injured his knee. I think he is going to be a bruiser with Ford coming in to spell him when Ford is ready.

He's got to run like a rampaging beast on every carry so he can stay in the game.

keiland better not run THAT well, or he'll score a TD and never see the field again (like 2007 AU)

He's been pretty soft the last two years, but he hasn't always been like that. I think his physicality issues are psychological. I don't think anyone will ever see his true potential until he drops some weight and becomes a featured back (things that may never happen). In HS he got better with every carry, so his limited carries have hurt him at LSU.
