They will be much improved next season, however, the other teams will also be improved as well. Those predicting a 5-6 seed are just dumb. How can anyone know how this team will play together next season? Most probably wouldn't have predicted that UK would been fighting for their big dance lives at the beginning of the season.

Understand where your coming from, but they lost everyone from their previous team. We would have upperclassmen playing all over the place

They weren't whenever Nerlins was healthy.

I think he stays.

Starting 5:

Hickey
Stringer
Martin/Mickey
JOB
Odo

Gets 2nd in SEC and gets a 5-6 seed in NCAA Tournament.

Think Hickey will make it to next season? He had trouble staying on the team this year with multiple suspensions. I don't think we see him next season IMO

Yea. I think he has matured a ton. It was a little bit of him and Coach Jones feeling each other out, but nothing that will prevent Hickey from playing at LSU next season.

I don't think you've been paying too much attention.

The first was for grades, which was fixed shortly afterwards, and the second one-game suspension is thought to be discipline. There was no other cases of any trouble after that, and Hickey has started every game since then.

Its a prediction. If I'm wrong then so be it, but you should choose your words more wisely. If you gave me reasons why you think that 5-6 is impossible please let me know.

I think many people have said it wouldn't be out of the question to be a top 25 team next season. Well that is what being a 5-6 seed is.

Next season's LSU team will have a dynamic mixture of athleticism, length, experience, and youthful energy. We will have players fighting to be known as the best. LSU will have a returning 1st team All- SEC selection, an SEC All Defense player, a ton of help down low in a 7' with touch and athleticism, a 6'10" guy who has been with the team for almost a year, and two guys over 6'7" with more athletic ability than anyone on our team right now.

I don't think Im dumb for being optimistic. A basketball team can play 5 players at one time. The best part of that is each new player can be a very important piece to the puzzle. LSU has some difference makers coming in.

He probably won't get drafted til mid-late 2nd round at best, but I still think he is gone. Next year's draft class is supposed to be one of the best ever...this year is the opposite of that.

I have paid full attention, Hickey has been on his last strike this season. I guess it depends on if Coach Jones resets the count after the season

He hasn't been on any type of last strike situation. From everything I've heard it was a couple very minor issues that Jones wanted to make sure Hickey knew were unacceptable. He wants to take complete charge of his team and make sure they are keeping it together off the court.

So, why do you assume he will fail? He was never in trouble for his freshman year and was suspended twice early in the year and never was in trouble again.

While I can understand if some are a little suspect of him, I don't think you should assume he'll be kicked off the team.

Most people with discipline problems do fail again. I don't wish that on him at all. Just if I was putting money on this in Vegas, I would bet against him.

Hopefully you guys are right and everything is great with the sunshine spreading good fortune across the team. Will still be in my seats in the PMAC no matter what.

Remember now... JOBIII was quoted as saying that he was gonna stay here for a couple of years to hone his game before he goes pro. He said this right after he signed with LSU. He would definitely be drafted late 2nd round at best imho. He would be a project player. Plus, he has only played one season with his dreads cut off so next year he will be MVP ALL SEC.

wtf do you know about basketball? you seem to troll every thread. Every thread. How do you know who will be improved next year? Which teams have good classes coming in? Who is graduating multiple seniors. Will KCP go pro? Will that effect UGA's momentum. Please, enlighten us.

which is precisely why you have no basis to refute anyone's optimism.

Morgan seems to have improved some. He may shine next year. Coleman is good and we'll finally have a deep bench. What's the future look like for Collins, Hammink & Courtney?
