Would it have hurt if he had played at least one series agaist ull? We took some bad lumps with JL and it looks like we will have to do the same with JJ.

JL has more in game expierience and a more accurate throw (You know what i mean). I really see it as JJ and JL even.

But would the players play for JL? That is the question.

I don't see how our offense could be worse with lee. He needs playing time just to see if he has learned anything

Jefferson is the starter. and that probably won't change unless there is an injury.

i would have liked to see him play, to watch him. but coach didn't feel like he should so

I don't think he has gotten worse, he just hasn't improved as much as we would like. The expectations heaped upon him were unjustified.

It was only his 5th start. He has much to learn.

I will say this one more time, we will not beat Florida, Bama, or Ole Miss without JL and his passing abilities..or potential abilities...Their defenses, especially Florida's, will eat JJ alive. Florida is so fast on defense that JJ won't know what hit him. I am just confused how "everyone" keeps saying that JJ is just young when there are true freshman playing awesome games all over the country...

JJ could have thrown 3 picks easy. JL is not playing worse then JJ. He needs to be in the mix. But i think we know what quaterback the team wants

yes, it looks like JJ needs the playing time. Needs all the work he can get working on timing with the recievers.

*Note - LM is the same coach that through JL too the wolves and caused last years team demise and JL to loose his self-confidence as a player. I feel sorry for these recruits. Sad but true, as much as I love our TIGERS, I feel like this snowball is going down a very steep hill and it will have to hit a tree for things to change.

JJ is a very good athlete, better as an atholete than JL. The same could be said about RS's thleticism over JJ.
However, JJ is not a natural passer. JL has that over him.
JJ doesn't ahve the natural ability or hrowing motion to win championships in the SEC in my opinion. I come to this conclusion reluctantly and knowing JJ still has improvement to make.
I would like to see JL get more time and see if/ how he has improved form last year.
Both these guys are young/ inexperienced.

After watching JJ whiff on long balls, it would be nice to see if JL could hit a few - ezpecially when we are playing someone like ULL.

I want JJ as the starter, unless he just absolutely never learns to throw long accurately.

I also want to see SOMEONE - anyone - throw a ball over the middle.

We cannot go a season hitting only short button-hooks and flat screens.

JL has already had a ton more playing time than JJ. He had all of last season. JJ is the one who needs the work at this time. Normally in mop up situations i would agree that the backup QB should be in the game. But right now, in this situation, the starter needs the reps. Maybe work in Shep a little more due to he needs the experience and will be needed more as the season progresses.

well a game is only 60 minutes and you only get so many plays. So you have to make choices.

And JL throws a much more catchable ball....
