Don't you people realize that is the coaches were asking Jordan Jefferson to throw over the middle in every third and long situation like they did with Lee last year that Jordans interception rate would be ugly too? But I do agree with the offensive line playing so poorly, Jordan is clearly the best to have in the game at this time.

I challenge you to show 4 clips of J. Lee avoiding the rush, keeping his vision downfield and completing a pass.

(The JL haters apparently believe that he will NOT develop and improve, that the problems of last year (bad reads, forcing passes) cannot be fixed and will only be repeated. Pathetic)

So JJ can improve on his passes from last week OR do you think it will be repeated?

Of course. Everyone on this board wants him too. Alot of rantards may say "JL blah blah" or "JJ blah blah", but at the end of the day, whoever is the QB, and this week it is JJ, has everyone's support. No one wishes ill-will on JJ or JL. I want JJ to be the best damn QB he has ever been. I want the same for JL. I want a QB controversy because we have so much talent at the position, we do not know who to play!

JL refuses to run. And getting the ball away quicker obviously isn't the always a good thing with JL. He threw alot of interceptions last year. i mean i can get he ball out pretty quick if i don't care who i throw it to.

I think JL is enjoying his time out right now. He is learning and observing still. Everytime miles put him in there he have done what he was suppose to do. So he might be throwing deep passes. He still however, stare down his recievers. When he did that shovel pass to trindon, he was looking right at him. When he throw that touchdown to CS, he was looking right at him.

I guess JL needs to learn how to do the no-look magic johnson pass.

I hope you're just saying that and you don't really want a qb controversy. Having a talented and prepared backup is one thing but an actual qb controversy only leads trouble. It never works

Can't do that, but I can show you J. Lee performing under pressure.

J. Lee can just do things that JJ can't, right now. If he is still throwing int's like crazy, then we don't need him, but you have to remember that last year he was a freshman, who wasn't even supposed to be playing until RP got kicked off.

Starting this week, we're going to see a lot more press coverage, with teams locking down on the short stuff. The long ball will be there all night with the receivers we have, but right now JJ isn't hitting it. I don't recall him hitting one long touch pass so far at all this season, and unless that changes, our offense is going to look really ugly.

Here's another reminder of some of the good stuff that J. Lee can do.

myth, he actually releases the ball quicker. Which helps your OLine in two ways. One, keeps the OLine fresher by not having to repeatedly protect JJ when he gets happy feet. And two, doesnt allow the defense to put 10 in the box which allows for a successful run game.

Ummmm...didn't teams start stuffing the run last year in the later games? It was easy pickens for most defenses. Stuff the run and force JL to throw. It was a guaranteed pick, and likely six.

I am amazed that people seem to be making arguments for JL to start. Go back and rewatch our games from last year. No doubt the kid has an arm...he's just not a gamer.

Go back and watch the CFA bowl. JJ was a stud. Even in the Arky game, he played really well. He has not lost a game in his last 4 starts, and he lost the other one by a point (which blame has to be put solely on defense).

So, JJ will have to screw up in a major way before he is pulled from a game. He led a victory over a tough road opponent 2500 miles away. He led a victory in the rain over a stingy Vanderbilt (who beat OM last year) and a likely better than expected ULL team (who beat a BCS team in Kansas State the week prior).

My criticism for JJ (and the coaching staff) is that they're bowing down to the media. Too much talk about no long ball...so they start trying to force it downfield to please the fans...or prove them wrong...or something. JJ has all the potential in the world...the team just needs to find a groove and execute.

Not sure if this has been talked about before, but what about playing both JJ and JL. Mix them both in. Let both throw the deep ball so defenses can't dial in on just the long pass if JL is in. We know how JL did last season, but we can at least all agree that he can throw the ball accurately deep

actually, I like the idea but can our coach(es) do a two QB system with plays that the team would benefit from? Or is the OL really the best that LM has ever had? IMO, it takes big brains to do this! But Charlie Mac did it with Jones and Lyons ... so does it take a rocket scientist to pull this off?
