JJ supporter here - thoughts on Lee

Let me preface this topic with my opinion that Jefferson is our best bet at QB. The kid is a rising star and will break QB records (good ones) at LSU.
But I have to give credit to Jarrett Lee for the poise he showed against Bama in difficult conditions. The Bama defense was tough and wasn't giving anything away but Lee looked patient and determined and took what the D gave him. He made some pretty good throws. Lee is easily a better QB than he was last year and you could tell he's worked on the int problem. He did everything I expected him to and then some.
If you'd told me before the game that Lee would play the fourth quarter then I would have assumed a blowout with multiple turnovers but he kept us in the game and looked like he 'belonged' out there.
I wish JJ and JL had played a couple of yrs apart so they could both get PT at LSU but it is what it is. JJ is just too good - even the Bama fans are giving him props for how he kept them off balance. In any case, I really appreciate the depth we have at QB and that's thanks to both JJ and Lee.
Just thought I'd start a positive JJ/JL thread.

Yeah, Lee showed poise freezing like a statue when the Bama D came rushing at him. You're right, he showed poise taking the sack and not running for his life.

He completed four passes and one interception... BUT it wasn't returned for 6 so improvement. was he awful ... not really awful no was the godsend messiah of our offense as some people thought he might be NOt really. You can say he led us down field but i would say Charles Scott did most of that.

Very simple, if Jordan Jefferson plays entire game against ala., LSU wins.

Possible, but not likely.

Are you freaking serious??
Shep has NO IDEA where to even lineup on plays when he's at running back, but you think he knows the plays in the playbook to be the QB?
LOLZ

He needs to stay at LB for now.

i am still wondering why the hell JL threw the ball so far out of bounds on a go route?
I almost think he looked worst than last year

JL wanted to display his rifle of an arm.

At least you can say that JL knows how to throw the ball out of bounds and do so out of the tackles. JJ has been in the system for 11 games as a starter between 2 seasons, and still doesn't know how to throw the ball away.

Looking forward to seeing Garrett in the mix next year...Lee's athletic ability has not changed...Bama knowing he wasn't as big a running threat as Jefferson, pinned their ears back and came after him ...(players commmitts)..

the thing is, is that he wasn't under pressure when throwing those throws out of bounds

Aren't you glad this lasted for two posts?

You are wasting your time...
there are many here that have an agenda...
they feel like they are a bigger man if their views win..
they are too dumb to realize that this is a TEAM and words that hurt one, hurt all.
we have 2 QBs..is that simple.
if JJ was a GREAT QB, there would be no talk of anything,
but JJ, while ahead of JL, is not "IT" yet..
I think both have a good future, although different styles. I have evaluated personnel for 40 years and because one catches on (matures) faster, does not mean that he will be better...
He MAY, be better at a "point in time" as in NOW...but the future has not been written.
...in fairness to JL, a lot of his negative burden was placed there by coaching, in as much as he was asked to do many things for which he was not ready.....
and please spare me the RP left speech...
we all know that is true, but COACHING can assist a lot by their play calling and they did not.

You can Lee doesn't deserved to get basked for the situation he was put in for Bama - but he sure as hell doesn;t deserve priase either. Save it for when it is warranted.
