He can get a handclap. Lee has the team at #1 and has been put in a tough situation himself. In this time he has played some great ball. Nothing broken about this team that needs to be fixed.

Agreed, but this is not about JJ starting, but being on the team. We're worried about the former and less about the latter. It's got to feel like shite to JJ though.

JJ is a Tiger and when he comes off the bench to help seal a victory the same ones on here wanting to throw him under the bus will be kissing his rear end and thanking him.

I agree, i've had a lot of second chances in life. Just saying i hope that people are not thinking he should walk in and start.
He's got talent, but the team is just rolling right now.

Some of you people are ridiculous. So he gets found "charged", not found guilty of a simple fight. Clearly the law doesn't think he kicked a guy (you wanna talk about a piece of shite talk about this guy) in the face. There are gonna be 10 fights I'm tigerland this weekend and you'll never hear about any of them. Jj got screwed. No on is saying he should be starter, but when he comes in during the 4th quarter to kneel he should get a big applause. He beat out lee 3 years in a row and would have this team at 4-0 if he wasn't screwed out of a position.
His life was nearly ruined and it'd still been greatly altered yet 48 year old "men" come on here and call him a thug arse and accuse him of stuff he was found innocent of...smart. He is one of the leaders of this team and you can tell that by the players surrounding him.

Did the trial take place already? A closely scrutinized Grand Jury decided there was enough evidence against him (kicking someone laying on the ground) to warrant a trial. So, just as it is foolish and inappropriate to convict him at this point, it is equally foolish to acquit him.

I don't hate JJ at all. Lord know I made mistakes in college too.
To think that the whole stadium is going to give him an ovation is over the top. JJ put himself in a poor position by being there in the first place, and his choice let down his entire team one week before the season started.
Just because he has been reinstated is not a reason to give the kid a hero's welcome. He made a mistake, let him ease back into the team and earn his playing time again.
I wish him the best of luck.

The racist guy in here really doesn't care to hide it. Straight shooter

The guy has been through a lot, and from the grand jury's perspective, what he has been through was unwarranted. Most would agree that he is a good guy, not a thug that got away with something. He is LSU through and through and deserves a big cheer.
JJ's comeback is the greatest story ever in college football.
I wonder who will play him in the movie?
We should nickname him "Phoenix" since he will rise from the ashes.

I never condone boo'ing. But giving him a standing ovation is too much. He did this to himself. He's lucky to have a second chance. When he comes in for mop-up duty I'll be cheering very loudly, but my cheering will be for the true leader running off the field.

I'm certaintly not going to boo the kid, but if anyone deserves a standing ovation it would be Lee.
Lee's story warrants more cause for a standing ovation with his continued hard work year after year with no sight of ever starting a game for the Tigers.
Jefferson....? Our supposed "leader" and "senior" in control of his own destiny so to speak missing curfew and getting into a brawl. Guys...step back and take a look at who deserves more praise to date.

Enough of this bullshite already. Not wanting JJ to get a huge ovation or playing time doesn't make you a racist.
I personally will not hive him a big ovation because he was charged with a crime. I will not be cheering for that. I also think he should stay on the bench. Not because he's black, but because he is not a good QB.
Put your race card away. It just sets black people back when it gets used for ev.. er.. y.. thing.

JJ should not get a heroes welcome....that should be reserved for the athletes who follow the rules and lead others to do the same......
For all who believe JJ is completely innocent, then OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony are also innocent.
He made a mistake, deserves a second chance but no heroes welcome.....I reserve hero welcomes for the military coming back from defending our country.

You Jefferson lovers are a trip. Jefferson should get a standing ovation for the trouble HE cause: HE lied to Miles, HE participated in a bar fight, HE put his own interest before the team. C'mon, Lee should be the one that deserves the standing ovation for all he has put up with while remaining faithful to the team.
