Jones then added, "People are unnecessarily panicking. I can still see the bubble from my office window. We still in dis!"

I don't want to keep CJJ, but he will have his players back. It's called "coach-speak" people. Everyone gets livid with Alleva saying we weren't in and not having CJJ's back. Then CJJ does the opposite for his players and he's crucified.

I mean there's protecting your players, but this comes off as downright retarded. If he's able to say with a straight face he was satisfied with the effort given Saturday, well he's either a really good liar or delusional.

I 100% agree with everything you said. If you have certain players who are your best players not giving max effort, it's a VERY difficult spot to be in for a coach.
And I honestly don't get the jones never gets mad thing. He was losing his shite the other night repeatedly. At home games he's always working the refs, yelling at players. I literally do not get it. Because he's not Bruce or Avery running onto the floor, he gives nothing.
I just don't agree that all the lack of effort is on Johnny. If TQ gives you nothing, what do you do? Serious question. How would the Rant handle Tim Quarterman.

Why in year 4 of the CJJ era is there still no true PG to begin with?

Tim Quarterman is a true Point Guard. How is he not?

He's most likely a good liar. If he admits publicly his team gave zero effort (which they did give zero effort), then he has no chance of keeping his job. That's admitting your team has quit. As much as LSU fanbase wants him gone, he wants to keep his job.

I dont get it. How can you possible be satisfied with the way this team has played the past 2 weeks? They are miserable right now. I would have them running suicides until they puked then running stadiums after they rehydrated, and then made them puke some more
Eta: Then we would shoot free throws till you cant pick the ball up anymore

Like it's said before, this isn't the 90's, 80's, 70's etc etc. a coach only has a certain number of hours a week to watch film with players, gameplan with players, practice with players. FT's are the most common and practiced thing in the history of the world. I know for certain that most practices end with a team huddle, then every player partners up and goes to a goal to shoot FT's until they make a certain number and they can go home

I mean yea, seriously. I'm wondering what qualifies as one? I've been harder on TQ than almost anyone, but I want to know what a TRUE PG is. And how exactly is Tim classified. He's going to play PG wherever he plays professionally

By default because of his size.
Its fairly simple to watch Q play and know he isnt a true PG. He does not make those around him any better. He is extremely selfish at times and has difficulties properly running/controlling an offense.
Because of this team's huge lack of half court offense it is necessary to have that floor general. I could throw out cliche terms all day but in the end that just isnt Tim.
Also, that true PG isnt rattled and his job is to know everyone where everyone else is on the court at all times. A true PG doesnt need to dominate the ball to affect the game and doesnt try to do too much when he does have it.
You want to see a true PG, check out Skylar Mays who is committed to us.
