I swear some of you idiots wouldn't know shite about football even if one was shoved up your arse.

So now when NFL guys say JJ is outperforming all the "hot" qb's at the elitest of the elite qb camps, you call him a practice qb. You say "what will he do with a DT bearing on him?"

Do you watch football much? JJ doesn't panic when he gets pressure. He used to hold it too long but he's learned that internal clock now. He's always had his best passing plays when he steps up, gets clobbered, and drops the football In with touch.

Okay so what would you call a qb whose coach continually says how well he was doing in practice last year but flopped in 9 of 13 games and was ranked 100th of 116qbs and 11th out of 12 SEC qb's?

Tell me you dont recall Miles praising Jefferson last spring and summer and then during the season saying how well he looked in practice during the week and then coming out and flopping over and over again

we're not talking about Miles. we're talking about all the praise he got from all the media outlets and former players that ya'll claim he got last year just like he's getting this year.

seriously....what the hell do you think Miles was going to say? "Our QBs suck...theres nothing we can do about it." You're an idiot

I am referring to Miles and the coaching staff and how we keep hearing from them how much JJ improved the last three springs. Please link me to where I said the media had said JJ improved the last 3 springs?

I'm not going nuts about all the hype, but....

Found the exact opposite from Les (Edited "after" to) during the Spring last year:
quote:

“He’s more knowledgeable and coming of age,” Miles said. “We wish he’d just take it over. We wish he’d take some of the responsibility of the offense under his umbrella. I don’t know if he’s capable at this point, as young as he is, to do it.”
“You think he’s coming along those lines,” Miles said. “But then you watch the two-minute drill, and he has a couple of throws where he could stand up and make them … and he didn’t do it.
“He still has opportunities to win games for us with his ability to throw and other things that he’s doing. We’d just like to see him grow a little bit more.”

LINK (read all the comments about JJ, none are reassuring)

Rudy,

miles is a coach. Ignore what every coach in America tells you, they are full of shite in press conferences.

These other guys though? Come on man, this is new and signifigant.

I hear what your saying Big Ed but as I posted earlier and I am willing to bet many would agree with. JJ has disappointed so often I will wait till he shows this on the field consistently. Not like last year a good first half against UNC then into the tank till the Bama game. If he has improvd and developed into a competent qb and shows it week in and week out great but I want to see him do it. So far he has not including the spring game this year.

all the threads you've been posting in are about praises from the media and former players. So when you say "this is what we heard last year" i assume you're talking about media and former players praising JJ....because that would make sense.

There were only so many passing tds last year. Why don't you check them out? Half were long PA bombs that he got smashed on, but he stepped up, took the hit, delivered the ball.

Don't you people remember Lee? It is Lee with great accuracy with no pressure, and floaters when pressure comes.

Jj took too many sacks because he held the ball too long. Holding the ball too long is not my definition of losig control under pressure

That's being kind. Hope he can do well this year when he plays.

Okay so I am clear. Due to the JJ PR campaign I lump all the JJ improvement talk with what has been said by predominately the coaching staff the last 3 springs. You know we have reduced the playbook for him his footwork has improved and he is not staring down his primary receiver statements. If I see it on the field on a consistent basis I will buy in! Or am I supposed to have to buy in on the basis of practice drills?
I thought the game counted in pads in the stadium when there was 90K there watching? If winning the Manning passing academy MVP qualifies JJ as a Heisman candidate and a competent qb then I stand corrected!

Yeah, I don't know what that dude is watching. We all wish JJ well. The success of the season depends on how much he improves. Let's see how he does when the season rolls around, he received a lot of hype last preseason too.

all these positive statements from supposed experts that aren't on the coaching staff and i'm supposed to believe they're idiots and the tigerdroppings rantards are the ones who know what they're talking about.

I'm sure everyone is holding their breath...hoping you "buy in". I prefer to enjoy the positive press in the offseason and not be miserable and shite on every positive thing thats posted.

Isn't that the amusing part of this kinda stuff.

I mean, how often do see a positive story bout an LSU starter take hits like this on an LSU forum???

Only points out how invested some have allowed themselves to become in the JJ can't get better or come back from an offseason BS. imo

Did you know players topped out talent wise at 20 or they can't recover from an off season?

I wonder what these guys will have to say when JJ comes out and plays exactly the same again this season?
