Remember now, Docuet was a shell of himself...Byrd was just coming on the scene and Lafell was a young dropster....Not nearly where we are today..

I don't know if I'd say much better. Flynn was throwing to three NFL receivers.

No, that was in 2006. Doucet was the only good WR in 2007. Byrd came along towards the second half of the season but only had 2 or 3 big games. Some douchebag dressed his son up as Lafell for Halloween and taped Butterfingers candy bars to his fingers. Toliver was a freshman.

Lafell and Toliver have been much more effective this year, and Randle has started to come up huge in big games.

I'm talking about the end of each of those games. No way Flynn spikes it with 1 second left.

Byrd was much better in 2007 than he was at any other time. Lafell went through a bad spell, but remember the Va Tech and Ohio State games - the guy played looked the second coming. Doucet was injured, but when he played, he was unbelievable.

Again, 2009 is better but not by a mile. Flynn's receivers were very, very good.

yes, they did occur this past Sat, but he has done pretty well this season considering...Yes you are rignt, Bird only had one year on the scene as Flynn was gone so he had no one to get him the ball...

All that being said, the 2007 WRs were much less than what we have now...

Even with Miles yelling at him to spike the ball?

You cannot blame that on Jefferson.

Yep, for some reason if you say jj isn't quite as good as Flynn was, you are saying that JJ is shite....

JJ isn't shite. I'd say he is an average SEC quarterback, and an above average college quarterback.

Um, no.

Doucet - NFL
Byrd - NFL
Lafell - four months away from being in the NFL

No. He saved Jefferson at UGA with 2 catches there. He had 2 TDs against Ole Miss. He's not even our 3rd leading receiver though; I'm just mentioning him because he's come up huge and prevented us from having another loss and was a huge reason for Jefferson's productivity against Ole Miss.

Jefferson never got a spike signal from Miles.

The guy got drafted after almost dying in a car wreck a month before the draft. Apparently, several NFL scouts thought he was good enough to take a risk on.
