Jimbo would be a bad hire.

Memphis coach Justin Fuente would be the better hire. He pulled a program that was close to shutting down and got them ranked. He takes average players (2 star guys) develops them into quality players. He is almost saban like , all business. His playing call is outstanding. If he had the talent he would be dangerous . He out coached Hugh freeze this year, something Saban couldn't even do. He would be a better fit.

But has he proven he can keep a program at a high level? Jimbo definitely has more skins on the wall and is a much safer bet.

fuente is 4-3 this year in his little conference with one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NCAA and a 5th year senior.. that's unacceptable..

these up and comers already show to often fail more than work out.. and he already has 3 losses.. come on man..

I don't think LSU is willing to hire an unproven coach from Memphis. I think its well known they want an proven head coach from one of the P5.

I have questions whether he can retain the same success as FSU in the SEC...but Jimbo is about as good hire as possible. Any hire outside Saban or Urban Meyer will have question marks and we're getting neither. Jimbo is an absolutely perfect fit for LSU in just about every way you can think.

Hiring a coach that won a NC, has a very good record, and puts multiple players in the NFL is a horrible hire your right. What are we thinking.
