I agree. For the second half of the game, I turned down the TV volume and tuned in the game on the radio, Hawthorne and all.

Harry Caray had the excuse that he was hammered or hung over for every game. It just comes naturally to Jim.
Why can't LSU just have a "surprise" retirement party for Jim and bring out a lot of faces from the past, and send him off in style?

It looks like you are watching 1970s high school scout footage. It is awful...especially clicking back and forth from HD to that...I felt like I was in a time warp.

I like Hawthorne and I'm not retarded. As a matter of fact, I'm an ex Radio Announcer/News Director so I know a little about broadcasting. Hawthorne may make an occasional error, who doesn't. But the energy and emotion he brings to his broadcasts are without eqaual, his high energy calls really add to the game and can, when the circumstances of the game and play call all come together can give a Tiger fan chills! He also is much more honest than most other broadcasters, if the Tigers stink, he'll say it. Overall I think he's one of the best I've heard, I enjoy listening to him and want him to continue as "the Voice of the Tigers"!

Jim is the voice of the Tigers , I turn down the TV for away games and listen to him. All of you who think its time for Jim to move on are just flippin stupid arse idiots, go watch it on TV and shut the hell up!

I'd like to watch a relative of Mr. Hawthorne shove something up your rear and then push it up further with something else before pushing it in further with a stick of some sort. No offense intended, your post just made me angry.

I enjoy listening to him on WWl. I'm thankful when that's all I can get. He is much better than the tv guys who can't pronouce the player's names.

I agree. He makes mistakes, but I can live with it. The excitement he brings is worth it.
