Jim is an accomplished country musician. He played in his band and had a radio show. I think he moved on just fine.

Hell no. LSU would get some “cool” former player who’s a shitty announcer to fill that spot like the Saints did with Deuce. It would probably be Justin Vincent or someone like that.

I sure wish he would have been the announcer for this last season. He would have been great to listen to for a fact. I kinda miss the guy...with his frickups and all. We just don't have that passion that he brought to the air.

The damn Mexican broadcast is a hell of alot more passionate and intense than Chris Blairs calls were. They get into it big-time lol. If only they could speak English, I would prefer to listen to their call over blairs.

Hell no it wasn't fair! I'm outraged by this! Can we blame this on Ponamsky?

Hawthorne was a terrible announcer especially during football season. Glad he’s gone

Blair is getting better. He is still pretty sterile but I like him more now than I did when he started.

I miss JH though. Don’t care about the errors in his later years. When you turned in the radio and heard that voice, you just knew it was Tiger Time and could kiss goodbye the next 3+ hours to just being a fan

I don’t think it was forced. People generally know when their performance is slipping. If you recall, Jim had heart surgery just before he retired. I think a combination of the two things made him decide to retire.

You are very fricking wrong here. That dude would throw his grandma in front of a train to make sure he gets his next paycheck. I can tell you some stories from back in the 80's.

Sure they can. Some people don't deserve to opportunity to. Should have kept Broadhead and kicked this stepped-on POS to the curb a LONG time ago. Never would have known Curley or Dumnardo.
