Sounds like he started the majority of the scrimmage, had a great spring, and the staff really loves his potential. I love his combination of height and speed, and with his dad having played in the league, you have to love the pedigree too. Do you guys think the staff is giving him these reps because he’s next up if there’s an injury, or does he have a legitimate chance to win a starting job? I feel like Cooley made plays last year and was reliable, but I also think Jhase has a higher ceiling because of his physical talent.

Don't have any details, but Lane will definitely play the better player whoever that may be. Something BK was not willing to do

That’s different from what I heard completely. Depends on who gives the info. I Heard that Delane played the most.

I don’t care who it is as long as it’s the best player. We are paying these coaches to win and not be friends. These kids created the “year to year” roster so they can live with the results because it goes both ways.

I think we view Cooley a little higher than we normally would because he wasn’t Major Burns or Sage Ryan who were absolute garbage.

Cooley was ok last year. Not Major Burns bad, but not great. I just think because he started last year and was an upgrade to such an abysmal position group we may be a little skewed in our view of him.

Tamarcus Cooley can 100% be beaten out for his position and that’s ok.

I think all four will play meaningful snaps. Think the dime will come from the safeties. Not enough depth at CB.

I thinks it’s a case of we finally have a coach that’s going to play the best player regardless of seniority. And that’s refreshing. If Cooley gets beat out by a younger more talented player then so be it.
