Jefferson's play style creates a bit more longevity than Chase's. Chase will have a great career. Jefferson's will be epic.

What a career, he’s better than prime obj and it’s not close.

I'm prepared to argue it is close

Rewatching 2019 highlights it seems so obvious how special him and Chase were but I guess not considering a bunch of receivers were drafted before him. And as good as Jefferson was, Chase was the alpha.

I think some teams passed on JJ because they assumed Chase opened him up a bit for more production. I feel like they helped each other equally.

We all kind of laughed at O hiring 95 year old Jerry Sullivan as his WR coach in 2018, but he was the first to recognize Jefferson was LSU's best WR that season. Going into that season everyone was excited about Jonathan Giles who had transferred from Texas Tech. LSU also had Dee Anderson, Stephen Sullivan, Dereck Dillion, on the roster, along with two highly touted freshmen in Chase and Marshal. Jefferson was a complete afterthought going into the season, and it was pretty surprising to see him as one of the starters/primary WRs in the very first game against Miami (he was the leading WR that day) Some may have felt LSU was in trouble at the WR spot if they were starting Jefferson over all of the other guys who were much higher rated recruits.

Obviously we didn't know and couldn't see what Sullivan saw. Jefferson was the best WR on the team

Sadly, that’s NOT the reason a lot of them have Hurts over Burrow..

The board’s resident libs will disagree but it’s the truth

There were teams that had Jefferson way higher. On their board than where he went.

It’s funny b/c in the draft threads that year on the saints board I said repeatedly that’s who we needed. Of course I hit downvoted into oblivion and was told the last thing we needed was a receiver. Majority of the board wanted Queen or the OU backer that year…..
