Jesse Palmer and David Pollack argument :)

Sorry if Germans, last night was the first time I saw it.
On the Palmer and Pollack show, Jesse Palmer vehemently defended his theory that LSU "out-executed" Alabama, to which Pollack equally vehemently denied.
Palmer talked about the few LSU pass plays that got them in scoring position, and the way Jordan Jefferson ran the option, as well as how our D-line kept Bama out of the end zone.
The discussion drifted to special teams. Palmer then stated "you can't deny that LSU out-executed Alabama on special teams." Pollack again disagreed, but could not logically come up with a reason, just stating "Alabama missed 4 FG's."
Palmer then stated "exactly!, LSU blocked one of those, they had a 72 yard punt, Wing had several punts downed inside the Bama twenty, they made their FG's."
Then immediately, discussion went to K-State/Okie State.

They seriously need to look into replacing Pollack on that show, he provides nothing at all.

Pollack was all Bama on Saturday morning on ESPN College Gameday.
He totally dismissed LSU as having any chance.
Something going on there just like the idiot Robert Smith.

Pollack is not far enough removed from the game as a player to be objective.....or make sense...

When Pollack made the statement on GameDay standing next to Erin that special teams is a wash!, I told my hubby, "Oh no they are not and he is going to see for himself!"

Wasn't he the guy who played for Georgia and broke his neck playing for the Bengals? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Pollack is probably still butthurt since "Georgia was the better team" in the 03 game.

jesse, on the other hand, is completely infatuated with everything LSU. i dont know what happened before, during, or after his college career, but he has ALWAYS been a huge tiger supporter.

I was kinda surprised by the hero worship Pollack seemed to have for Saban last week... many of his arguments were simply, "I mean, come on... who would you rather have, Saban or Miles. It's a no brainer."
He can't fathom the idea that Nick Saban got out-executed. It doesn't fall in line with his preconceived notions.
I'm not a Pollack hater, and I think he typically does a pretty good job. But his admiration of Saban continues to be pretty surprising.

TRUE... but Saturday night on the post-game show ... he was damn sure singing LSU's praises with Fowler and CUM... he and CUM were all high on LSU ... and both had picked Bama in the morning.
hindsight is 20/20 - as for the P&P "argument" -- haven't seen it ... but no argument that LSU's special teams were better, LSU's defense was equally good, and LSU's offense put them in the redzone as many times as Bama's did for them (1 each on offense).
First downs in the game 17 - 15 bama, time of possession -- virtually equal 30:30 to 29:30 approx.
But the one that counts.... 5:51 ---- 9 to 6!!! LSU

While this is true, I must tell you that Jesse picked LSU from jump street and Pollack picked Bama. Just sayin'

Pollack is about to die anyways. Just let him have his few minutes.
