Dinardo era. He lobbied for it.

Yes I knew that. Along with Ga. Tech. But the stipulation to the rule is that the home team must get permission from the visting team. I do not think that has changed. Seems like in the past LSU cleared this with the opposing team before the season.

dude seriously. give it up. you're wrong. they only have to lobby with non-sec teams.

First I've heard of that exception. But since it's an NCAA rule, not a conference rule, one would think NCAA rule overrides Conference rule. JMO

Good point. With the circus that will already suround the Alabama-LSU game, Saban will petition the NCAA to waive the SEC's rule about the home team selecting the jersey colors.

Wow.

A little touchy are we?
Where did I say I wasn't wrong? I stated I wasn't aware of the change to the rule and that logically one would think an NCAA rule would overide a conference rule.
I knew about the rule change from the lobbying by DiNardo and Ga. Tech. At that time, there was no exception for conference and non-conference games. Evidently somewhere along the line, that changed and I was not aware of it.
Now if you have specific info as to WHEN that change was implemented, and I have no doubt it was as several people say it was, why don't you stop being such a dickhead and post it!

Dude, I-59 Tiger told you in 2 different posts that the change occurred 9 years ago, in 1999. Why do think everyone is banging their heads at your stubborness? It's like you asking what time the game is on Saturday, getting a response that it's at 7:00, then you saying that doesn't sound right.

the game is at 8:00 EST, so I think that overrides 7:00 CST in this situation.
