You think this only happens at lsu?
Posted on 4/27/13 at 2:58 pm to crimsonsaint
its not really the number so much as the importance of the player. the stars are pretty well taken care of under a nick saban guided program. now other non important pieces dont get protection because they are disposable

1) you're 2) stopping pretending that this is something huge. It's a fight between two guys at a bar on Friday night in BR. It's minor. Hill will pay the fine, add time to his probation and the sun will come out tomorrow. Stop pretending like he needs to be suspended for 1/3 of the season.
How is a high profile D1 college football player being arrested not a big deal? I didn't say he will be suspended, I think he deserves it.

There are people on this board that absolutely do think that.

Not that any of this suprises me, the city of Baton Rouge and the university itself treat these football players like they are gods. Them acting like they run s**t is a result of the special treatment they recieve in high school and the very special treatment they get in class and on campus at LSU.
Have you payed attention to the program the past two years? The starting QB had 50 pairs of shoes taken from his apartment for a bar fight. Simon gets arrested for backing up quickly and on and on and on and on. The athletes get praised but they also get crap because of who they are...

So no other college towns treat their players like this? Really? We alone are the guilty ones. Little hint....it's every school in every city. It's the culture of society.

My dad tells me stories about lsu players in the 70's that would get arrested the night before games. Charlie Mac would bail them out and head straight to tiger stadium to play.

Isn't Hill still on probation for an early charge?

It may, it may make it worse. I imagine your 4 violations didn't have football eligibility riding on it.
It's a whole different dynamic for student/athletes. Not only does he have the legal system to answer to, but the HC and LSU administration.
