There are more people lying to protect Jefferson,
we do not need him. We have a QB.

I think for the people defending JJ, it's not about wanting him back as QB, it's understanding that an important part of his life could possible be stripped from him by a possible lie, not to mention from a not so upstanding citizen in Lowery.

I hated everytime I heard the Lowery lawyer spew his version of the events from that night, and I have to admit, that I now hate everytime I hear Jefferson's lawyer spew his version of the events.

So basically, Mr. Clean Marine is a d*mn fine American who was doing his civic duty by helping some stranger who was being brutally attacked by a gang of LSU football players. Meanwhile, Jordan Jefferson was trying to stop this same gang of football players from doing any harm to anyone and he was actually trying to get them back to bed because it was past team curfew.

Wow, it's so unlucky that two perfectly innocent young men were so adversely effected by this angry mob of LSU football players that were out just terrorizing any person that they crossed paths with that night, except for Jefferson, who was drinking his milk and reading his Bible.

Wow..You just summoned up my whole argument and basis for spending countless hours in these meaningless threads...I want a new QB, but not at the expense of ruining JJ's life.

Just an FYI, Lewis Unglesby was the man that Edwin Edwards tapped to defend him in his 2000 Racketeering Trial over the awarding of Casino Licenses.
Ung is badass. He doesn't really try to be, he just is.

The interview I'm thinking about was with Deke and Bobby early on last week where they questioned Michael Bienvenu for 15 minutes. Strangely that pod cast is no longer on their website or I am unable to locate it.

Nah I'm not mad. But I do find it funny that as soon as someone disagrees they are a pussy or an a-hole etc. Someone was on here yesterday calling Lowery an a-hole. I simply asked if they actually knew him and you'd thought I'd raped the posters Mom... not that it matters to the situation at all but i'd like to see people state facts or give opinions without all of the name calling. At the end of the day, we are all Tigers.

Ive never spoke out for or against Jefferson or Lee. Nor have I spoke out for or against anyone who supports Lee or Jefferson.

Stay in your room after the 10:30 bed check curfew and you're all good. Don't be at a bar where drunk people are after midnight and you're all good. Avoid altercations with smaller drunk people and you're all good. Listen to ALL the warnings you have been given about avoiding situations like this and you're all good!

No, it doesn't. Obtaining a warrant requires a showing of probable cause.
:sigh:

What does probable cause require?

I'll give you a hint: "reasonable belief"

Also BRPD did a poor job investigating.

I can agree with him on this point though.

They have investigated more than people think. In fact, they biased on the side of protecting the well-known QB until witness statements, etc simply became very incriminating.

Found this article with Bienvenu saying that his clients were never in the bar that they had stopped by to pick up some friends.

Why can't you "Team Lee" people just be "Team LSU" people? Why do you hope for the worst for JJ from this situation?
Actually i am tired of hearing about poor JJ and his problems. The more i hear this lawyer whine , the more i pull for Lee. Enough of this bullshite. If you were really for LSU you would let this crap rest until a verdict is reached.

severely untrue, some judges take more liberties in issuing warrants and police or DA seek those judges out in affairs like this one.

its pretty common.

Absolutely incorrect. You're attempting to compare two completely different standards. One, a showing of a "reasonable and articulable suspicion" is a standard lower than probable cause. Reasonable suspicion is required for a Terry stop, as well as a traffic stop on a vehicle.

Probable cause requires a showing that it is more probable than not that a crime has been committed by the individual sought, or in the case of a search warrant: more probable than not that evidence of the offense exists at said location.

The two standards are different, and reasonable suspicion is not, and never has been, sufficient to obtain a warrant.

No. It's correct.

I have signed search warrants and arrest warrants.

I have followed the law in each instance.

An arrest warrant only requires reasonable belief that the person committed a crime.

im sure you have done it the right way, but every judge doesn't do it all the time.
hope you would agree with that.
