"I WAS an assistant coach"

that sums it up right there. there's a reason you're still not. everybody hates bama. messing up the team doesn't make any sense right now.

Most of the national pukes don't give LSU a chance and JL with JJ coming in on a limited occasion ( which is what has won us all our games to this point) is what we should stick with. Stop being a douche bag and go do something productive.

NOLA.COM agrees with me too:

"And Jefferson, frankly, might give LSU its best option to win, given that he could trouble the Crimson Tide's defense as a dual threat. While he hasn't been nearly as involved in the passing game as has Lee, he had received rave reviews for his improved passing in the offseason. Obviously, he will cause concern for Alabama as a runner, whether on designed plays or when pass coverage and the pass rush dictate escape."

I don't come here and babble without facts to support my position (or, in the case, the opinions of other highly knowledgeable pundits).

I used a two QB combo when I coached h.s. Class A football in Texas (actually, I was an assistant coach but I coached the offense) with great success. We won over half our games against tough, well-coached opposition.

I would not be even slightly surprised if JJ starts. No huddle offense.
QB draw on 1st, play action pass on 2nd .........
JJ could widen field and we must have a running game of some type to win this game.
Starting the game with 2 hand offs up the middle and a pass on 3rd and long plays right into AL's hands.

Some of you didn't like my "start Jefferson" idea, so how about this: have Jefferson in 80% of the time with Lee. Jefferson gives LSU tons of options a Jefferson-free or Jefferson-minimized offense will not have. Jefferson has too much speed out of the pocket to waste on him sitting on the bench.

I'm talking Jefferson with Lee (mostly), not Jefferson in lieu of Lee.

How dumb does one have to be to even REMOTELY frick with what's been allowing us to curb stomp teams? Stick to what you know and make adjustments if they stop you. I didn't coach pee wee ball like yourself but that's just my opinion.

Great Idea! Another Jefferson x-factor thread. I can't wait until the game is over so I can stop seeing this thread posted in various forms 100x over. I think it would be a brilliant idea to play a QB that has seen limited time this year for our biggest game yet. Lets bench Mathieu and play Ron Brooks again. Maybe it'll throw off Alabama's offense.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Our team is about to play the biggest regular season game in the entire existence of the program, and someone feels the need to start a thread intimating we're making the wrong personnel decisions on the qb situation, even after witnessing the most complete team we've ever fielded, over 8 games, against very good competition.

Seriously, brah, go frick yourself.
