He was out on bail. Keeping someone in jail for such small offenses is cost prohibitive and a waste of prison beds and resources.

Not to mention that all the idiots that are happy about it are paying for all of this.

Good, happens to my clients all the time. Maybe if someone like this gets locked up pending trial for something not all that serious there will be some reform to the system allowing this to happen before a conviction is even in place.

If he had played great in the NC and we won I don't think the judge would have put him in jail. IMO

I just don't see why there is so much hate directed at JJ. IF you want to call every LSU student a POS thug for getting into a fight & smoking weed in the same calander yr, you couldn't build jails big enuff. He sucked as our QB but then I can name you at least 10 others, over the past 50 yrs, who were just as bad. All no doubt smoked weed & got in a fight or two. I suggest you look at your 21 yr old son/daughter, if you are fortunate to have same, and ask yourself if he/she has ever done something really stupid, which a bar fight & smoking pot qualifies as.

I don't disagree with a lot of your post, but you also missed the point of mine which had nothing to do with condemning him or judging him in any way

Just like a pass, JJ cannot complete a drug deal successfully.
