meh, it was still underthrown, and had they had better coverage it wouldn't have been caught

I agree with you dude, at one point Randle had about a 5-yard cushion on the defender, JJ sees him too late, and underthrew Randle, that's the only reason the DB was on him at the end. JJ should have let it fly two seconds earlier. It was a TD, great, but the pass was certainly not on time. Hard to quibble about a TD, but it's not like JJ was locked in a zone all game throwing darts.

I still think LSU can win with JJ, but he really needs to get it going between the ears, he just doesn't exhibit much intuitiveness at QB.

Hopefully the light clicks on soon and a strong replacement is found for Blackwell.

But what is apparent after watching him start 16 or so games is he is severely limited.

Very severely.

RR made a great catch on that long pass for a touch down as the ball was under thrown.

That was a pretty easy catch and a good throw. It wasn't totally perfect, but still a good throw.

I don't think you fully understand what "in stride" means. Lafell had to break stride to catch that ball

Ole Miss, Miss St, Alabama, USCe, and Florida defensive lines are probably better than UNCs backup DL. Dont say they were only missing 2/4, it was 3.

Linebackers....we probably wont face anyone better than Sturdivant and Carter

as a unit they'd be probably 4th in the SEC as they were saturday. behind bama, florida, and lsu. (just their front 7)

Will not one of the JJ haters acknowledge that part of the reason RR was so wide open was because JJ feinted towards the RB, then feinted towards his 2nd receiver, drawing coverage off RR, then finally keyed in on RR and delivered the ball.

Yes, the ball was underthrown a bit, but it did not matter because JJ looked off the defender and helped RR to the 5 yard cushion.

Will you please acknowledge that fact? That's all I'm asking.

get rid of the half arse conservative one-hand tied behind our back crap that Crowton calls an offense.

I agree...we are still stuck in 2008, with the pick-6 debacle still controlling our offensive philosophy.

cant argue that...

I had to create that McEnroe .jpg. I couldn't believe there was not a pre-existing one on google images.

Jefferson's issue is consistency. He's shown he can do all the things you say he can't. The problem he has is he can't do them consistently and its no surprise with Crowton as his QB coach. Crowton is a horrible developer of QBs, period. He can use developed QBs great, but when it comes to actually grooming them, its a whole other story.

JJ is still making freshman mistakes at times, and Lee should get a fair shot, but he won't with Crowton and Miles as coaches. They simply won't put him in a real spot unless forced to by injury.

ok, i will acknowledge that. I will also acknowledge the fact that this is not the norm for JJ, and rather an anomoly. if you go back and watch the game, you will see that on MOST of the passing plays, he locked in one 1 reciever, and did not check down if he wass covered, instead, he either left Shep up in the air to get shallacked, or tucked the ball and akwardly ran for 2 yards. you can point to that ONE play all you like, but it still doesn't make JJ any better than he was last year

i've watched the game 3 times now. he DEFINITELY checked down on quite a few plays. that's why he had so many passes thrown 'underneath'

You just got finished saying in the previous paragraph that Crowton can't develop QB's. So why then would you expect Lee to suddenly perform better than JJ?

Has Lee been getting secret tutelage from Jim Harbaugh that we don't know about?
