I like it. I'd like him to start if he is better. I feel the hype he is getting is different from the previous years. I don't think lee and hatch ever challenged him for his job. I think there is a strong possibility that him being a senior, mett giving that extra nudge, Him having to earn an NFL spot, etc. Can make JJ a much better player. Age and experience are a large factor.

I for one think this is a good thing.
We all know Miles is going to use JJ regardless of how he plays
I would rather have a confident JJ making statements and trying to back them up, versus a confused and disillusioned JJ
All this said, man where is the damn season!

I've posted dozens of posts critisizing ALL LSU offensive players, including both QB's, yet you think I'm the king JJ supporter. I've supported a QB by committee, yet you say I ONLY support JJ. I post several times in a single thread how I thought JJ played poorly, but HAD HELP screwing up... and somehow you think this is blaming everyone EXCEPT JJ.

Which is really a testament to Miles. This is why he said JJ was the unquestioned starter after a bad Spring Game. This is why LSU sent JJ to Connecticut for the day. This is why Miles has gone on and on about JJ's improvement. It's an obvious ploy to get JJ's confidence up. Truly a great coaching job by Les imo.

I agree with this. There is an obvious attempt by LSU to build JJ's confidence and increase the hype surrounding him.

And please stop this 4-14 bullshite. Our defense doesnt have any true 2s. Yall are spitting out the likes of loston, johnson, and simon are going to be starters. So how exactly is JJ playing against the 2s. Try to actually know shite before you post

Oh so we have 22 starters on defense? The majority of the best defensive players were with the ones. JJ had the #1 oline but I guess they arent better than the #2 oline either? Guess having Randle and Peterson and Shep doesnt help?
