Well I guess that makes it true, huh?

It is true.

Do you think Gary all of sudden decided to switch from a pro-style offensive scheme to the spread option route scheme in 2008?

Do you watch football?

It was said on ESPNU last night that we have simplified our offense for JJ. Why do we have to simplify an offense in someone's junior year? Shouldn't this be the year we crank it up a notch?

Gonna blame the coaches for a lack of development. A couple of third year QB's should have the offense down pat.

I don't think most posters understand what an option route offense is.

Crowton/Miles schemes are far from ideal, but the two QB's have to step it up

And who is responsible for coaching up the quarterbacks?

Some of you actually believe JJ is perfect and all the problems are beyond his control.

Never said that, but then JJ can only run the plays he is given. Our offense sucks exactly because of the inept play calling. I mean JJ played a pretty good game last night but yet we ended up with 264 yards of total offense. How is that JJ’s fault? He didn’t call the plays.

That was Fisher's offense. Crowton didn't get to install his offense until 2008.

Les proved to me last night that he does not want to be proven wrong, so he will simplify and slow the pace down (watch paint dry) so that his QB will not prove him to have made the wrong decision. After last night I have realised that J Lee will never see a meaningful shot at QB again for LSU. One pass had the fan base upside down. So therefore, when he got to see about 3 minutes of mop up, he was not allowed to throw a pass in fear of us scoring too quickly and making Miles look like a failure. Les will live and die with an underachieving QB. Hopefully our rushing attack and defense can carry us this year.

It should be simplified. Our offense scheme is completely overcomplicated and unnecessary.

outside of a frustrated fanbase I could see 3-4 offensive players getting aggravated this next couple months.
Espec if things stay the way they are on offense (productivity wise)

So, you're saying, in 2007 Crowton sat in the pressbox and looked through a binder of Jimbo plays and called them as he saw fit. And then the next year, he totally changed everything.

Just unbelievable.

Won most of the 9 games on the defensive side of the ball last year as well. QB position has to step it up.

Why would they change?

Crowton will still be calling plays.

While I think JL should get some real snaps soon, I am unconvinced that the offense would change one iota.

Crowton fits personnel to scheme, not vice-versa.

We won 2 BCS titles primarily because of our defense, too.

You keep saying that shite. Do you read the fricking news. See my signature for a direct quote from Miles. At some point our QB has to fricking play the game. Keep making excuses and complementing a QB who threw for 96 yards. At some point you will convince yourself that we are not in the bottom 10% passing.

Why are yards so important to you guys?

What passing plays were called that he could have amped his numbers up?

Don't believe it if you want, but it has been discussed on here plenty of times, and I still remember reading about 40 articles in the Spring and Fall of 2007 stating exactly that, and if you read other posts in this thread, you will see that I'm not the only one who says it.

Well that and the OL.

Wasn't our defense ~3rd?
