You can’t compare things like this from the post-portal years to the pre-portal years. Without the portal we would have Evans and Kade and a bunch of inconsistent relievers. I guess we’d have a few more freshmen to fill out the roster.

I don't know about that. I have no idea what Floyd is doing in the Minors, nor Holman or Jump....but Floyd went pretty damn high himself in the draft and he was a very good Saturday starter as well....at one point late he was undefeated....our problem until late in the year was that we were blowing games.

Anderson > Eyanson

This is yet to be determined. They are both great. During the season, they are nearly equal in every stat. Eyanson has let up a lot fewer runs in SEC play (ER 16 vs. 23). Anderson has allowed 5 earned runs three times, and Eyanson has never allowed more than 4.

SEC
Eyanson 3.25 ERA
Anderson 4.22 ERA

In the last 6 weeks, Anderson has allowed 18 earned runs, and Eyanson has allowed 8. I'm in no way criticizing Anderson, b/c he's been great. I'm just pointing out how good Eyanson has been the last several weeks.

Very impressive considering he had to find new ones each year.
