There have been a lot of great ones wear the purple and gold - but I loved the way this guy played it. Might not have had all the athletic gifts that others had - though no slouch in that department by any means - but he left it all on the field and made the spectacular look routine. From everything I have seen and heard about him, he is a testament to hard work, dedication, humility, and let his actions do the talking.

These were some of the inspirational quotes on his instagram page - don't spend much time there, but the article about him signing his rookie contract linked there. This is the mindset that leads one to become great.

I know there is no shortage of love for JL on this board - just adding to the kudos. I think he lurks and occasionally posts here. Hope he sees this and knows I am trying to instill this in my son, 12 years old. Can't force it - just plant the seed and he has to nourish it.

my buddy and I always yelled out man crush (no-homo) when he caught the ball...usually because it was a first down, a touchdown, or a very common "holy shite he caught that" catch

a COMPLETE football player. blocking, route running, hands, tackling, field awareness, field intelligence, kept his nose clean, did everything that was asked of him. Most complete player since Hester and Clayton. some guys are positions, others are "football players". JL would excell almost anywhere on the field, because thats the kind of athlete/worker he is.

He definitely had the best hands of any receiver LSU has had. Don't care what anyone says, there's too many spectacular catches on his highlight reel for me to be convinced otherwise. Simply amazing WR

The best WR in purple and gold I have ever witnessed. The Dolphins stole him in the 2nd round.
