When I look at Jarrett Lee, I see the same problem South Carolina has with Chris Smelley. If you look at Smelley's stats, he has had a couple 300+ yard passing games. However, with those games came along at least 2 interceptions. Anyone recognize the similarity now? It is not that Jarrett Lee is a bad quarterback, as of right now, he just is not making the best decisions and that my friends is what is killing LSU right now offensively because those bad decisions have led to turnovers. As of right now, Jarrett Lee has 1,328 passing yards, 11 Touchdowns, and averaging 189 passing yards per game. The not so impressive statistic is that he has thrown 11 Interceptions.
To this point, I think Jordan Jefferson at least deserves a chance this weekend to show the LSU community what he can do. His performance may be bad, or it may be good, but we will never know unless he plays. If the performance is bad, Les can say I told u so. However, if the performance is good, we may just pull the upset on Nov. 8th. I am not giving up on Lee like most of the LSU fanbase, however I am all for Jefferson getting more playing time this season.

Smelley sucks.

Lee is just inexperienced.

Horrible comparison.

Dude, give Lee a freaking chance. Do you realize he wasn't supposed to start for another 2 years. Ryan P. completed F'ed LSU up the arse.

Jarrett Lee is still a kid. He got thrown into the starting position b/c that is all Miles has. Hatch is the one that blows. You need to take a look at the defense. They are the ones that suck. Suck arse! The offense is not the problem. They are averagng over 400 yrds a game.

If you think Lee is the problem and Jefferson is the immediate answer you are a f'ing moron!

If you read correctly, I never said Jefferson was the answer. I just said he deserves a chance.

I was just comparing them in the way Smelly somehow ends up with over 200 yards/game despite 1-3 INT. Jarrett Lee and Chris Smelley decision making is not great...that is how they are similar.

If Lee is having trouble due to being a freshman, then what is Jefferson going to do in the game to get the offense going other than a couple of run plays every now and then?

Right, but Smelley has those stats because he sucks. Lee has those stats because he is inexperienced. Lee is doing pretty well for a freshman.

He gets a chance every week at practice. Miles doesn't have to show US what JJ can do. He knows, and he is going to do what gives us the best chance at winning.
