Jefferson gives this team the best chance to win, IMO. Yea, he has happy feet. Yea, he can take some sacks. But I really don't think he's going to lose the game for you (outside of the Ole Miss game). Lee may make some better throws, but the dude is an interception machine. If QB A has 3 sacks that are his fault but no INTs and QB B has 3 ints but no sacks, who you going to take? Possession is infinitely more important than a sack.

no doubt he played a part, but given our running and offensive line woes I don't know of many quarterbacks in college football who could have performed well for us last year.

How much of those stats were racked up agaist inferior competition? And qb rating in college is not a great measure of effectiveness.
I honestly think Lee and Jefferson are both below par QBs for a top SEC school, but my analysis is based on the fact that our strategic advantages this year should lie with our superior talent at WR. If we have a QB who can get rid of the ball faster adn distribute it, I like our chances to exploit that matchup advantage better than with one who bolts at the first sign of trouble or holds the ball and takes sacks.
