he was typing in a hurry.

Yeah, JJ's just tougher. When he gets hit, or gets a sacked/facemask penalty, he seems to get better. Other QB's like Lee, and like Wilson on friday, just shut down, and won't look downfield. JJ isn't affected like that. While I would like to go with LEE(I just like what he's done for the team this year), you just have to go with JJ.

First of all, it's "you are a dumbass" or "you're a dumbass". I sense your hostility at life.
And my comments were not about who's the best QB. That is obviously Jordan Jefferson. But the events of spring 2008, fall of 2008 with Lee and the four years since have all been a common thread.
Hopefully next year, we won't have to rehash the 2008 decisions ANY MORE. Hopefully you can see what effect dismissing RP and 2008 Lee playing issues have on THIS TEAM.
And Mett will be THE QB in 2012.... Thanks again for Coach Les Miles !!!!!

Let's nail this one down in Jan 2012 and move to the next 14-0 LSU team !!!!

Jefferson is just better. End of story.

not necessarily.
to your original point, I think you're selling Lee way too short and just overthinking this. if Les wanted to spare Lee disappointment, why do it then? he could've just kept him off the field and started Mett when Jordan got suspended. that way, he'd never know the pressure of Oregon, or MSU, or WVU or any other games he could've potentially lost and cost us a championship, and he'd never get his fragile little feelings hurt.

One guy just said les miles is protecting the team from bad JL decisions that effect the team.. 2 bad throws in 9 games.
those weren't just 'two bad throws', they likely shell-shocked him back to 2008...

I'm not sure about protecting Lee but who knows. The one thing I do know about Les is he does what is best for the team and ignores fan opinion. God forbid we ever have a coach that takes into consideration stupidass fan input. We would be a mediocre program again.
Remember the dick/mustain issue at Arkie and kids parents getting involved as well as the fans and media?
It was a disaster.

You knew there was little chance of avoiding it, didn't you?

Both are good QBs that offer different things.
Lee:
+'s = Better in the wide passing game, better on the edges, takes less sacks, gets rid of the ball much more quickly
-'s = Not very mobile, tendencies to not set his feet, throws floaters, and is afraid to step into throws and take contact a lot of times
JJ:
+'s = More mobile, slightly stronger arm (not as much as people want to make it out to be), better great passer on the run/rollout, less likely to take risky throws, willing to throw it and take the hit
-'s = Less pocket awareness, takes a lot more sacks, slow release can effect timing routes, can bail on plays more quickly.
Both offer different things, and depending on coach Miles and the offensive staff, they obviously prefer JJ's strengths versus his weaknesses over JJ's. I may not like how Lee has got treated at times, but Miles has proven his preference and sadly Lee knew this going into this year and chose to stick around anyhow (and I am thankful to him for that as all of Tiger Nation should be).

Miles took Lee out at Bama and JJ won the job back. Lee is still very important. We have two games left, at least I hope New Orleans is still in play after Saturday !!

LSU Beach Lover, I stand corrected by a 39 post ENGLISH MAJOR!! Anyone that divides the fanbase with the continued quarterback talk is not a fan of LSU, IMHO. Lee performed when LSU needed him, and now it's Jeffersons turn. Stop with the quarterback divide talk LSU FANS !!

Les miles "protecting him" and "shellshocked backed to 2008" - I have now heard it all.
Les has a whole team to be concerned with - not just JJ and JL. We will likely never know the entire story so for now - let's move on and focus on GA and the NC game!
