JL had tons of talent and knows how to play the game. The problem is that he was hung out to dry by some over agressive play calling from a OC that evidently doesn't develop QBs very well. His head just ins't in the right place any more....I bet everytime he gets in a game now he feels like he has to make up for an entire season with each individual pass.

my inclination is to agree almost 100 %...
I also think he is a "little gun shy" after being beat up so much...
a lot of the QBs success is in CONFIDENCE.

Blast me all you want but I wish the coaches would just flat out tell him if he wants to play college ball again to transfer elsewhere.

I didnt even make it past page 2.........but this has to stop.

Lee lovers/supporters/groupies/whatever, please stop. Just...........stop. He's done. He has made it evidently clear the DIFFERENCE between him and JJ isnt in the stats or the arm or their football IQ.

Its their passion or desire to be in the game and play. JJ has a 1000 and 1 flaws. I acknowledge that. But you would have to be blind not to see the difference in this team from that Tech game to the Ole Miss game.

You could see it, smell it, taste it. The team responded MUCH better with JJ in the game because JJ acted like he wanted to be there and win.

Again, take away the stats. Forget about JL's int problem, forget about JJ's awareness problem. The number 1 requirement for being a qb period is WANTING to actually be there and win. To be the guy you got to WANT to be the guy.

I dont see JL wanting it more than JJ when he is out there. Its like he's just........out there. JJ throughout his flaws has looked to me like someone who wants to play just hasnt learned to play just yet. If nothing else thats what I take away from the JJ vs JL arguement.

lol, quick question...

Should I be offended, happy or indifferent being called Les?

I firmly believe that JJ gives us the best chance to win next year. I would like to see RS get more snaps and throw the ball more.

Next year we find out exactly what the future hold for RS because I got a feeling that Miles and Crowton is going to try and turn him into Percy Harvin......permanently.

He's had his chance to prove himself. Lesser quarterbacks have overcome worse situations and performed admirably.

I wish him well, even if he stays at LSU, and I hope he would prove me wrong if given the chance. When he had that chance this year, he failed.

Geaux Tigers!!!

LSU fans hate him

Only the jackasses who take things so seriously that they hate on college kids they don't even know.

They're jealous of the kid, regardless of what he does on the field. They'd all give anything to have a football scholarship to LSU.

What else do you expect from the TD-ranter high school/college student spoiled brat geeks without girlfriends? Their priority concerns in life are "Message board post counts and the star ratings for incoming recruits."

BTW, JL COULD have been a McCoy-Bradford-Stafford type QB IF he would have been handled differently under a more competent teacher with a much less schizophrenic offensive philosophy. 20\20 is hindsight, but I think he would have turned out much better under Jimbo and the offense we ran when he was here. JL, Garrett and the new incoming Lee are not "Spread" QB's. They need to be in a Pro-Set. Even JJ is probably more suited to a Pro-Set. Wanna run a Spread Offense, then put RS in there and let him run it.

Miles/Crowton better decide in the Spring what they want to do offensively and go with it. This "All over the place, haphazard, multiple sets/formations/PropowerIspreadwishflexboneveer" offense just isn't gonna cut it any longer.......

There is not much doubt that Jarrett Lee has the physical tools to be a successful quarterback. He probably has the best opportunity of any of the quarterbacks on LSU's roster to succeed in the NFL. He definitely has the arm for it.

Bottom line is that he does not fit into LSU's system, He would fit better in a pro-style offense. He has that kind of arm.

The best thing he can do is to transfer to another school and prove what he can do.

I don't think he will get that chance at LSU

What he said. With some good coaching he has the phusical tools to have a shot in NFL. Whether it is Crowton or Miles, I do not see them sitting JJ, barring injury.

I will root for Lee to stay at LSU, graduate from the campus and then represent the school in what ever profession he has.

Kid displayed a lot of fortitude by staying despite threats, name calling, and worse from LSU "fans" which is admirable on his part. He could have taken the easy way out and left school, quit the team then LSU fans would have called him a quitter.
He has stayed in a difficult situation and from reports he gives 100% in practice and pushes Jefferson in practice.
No matter his shortcomings when the lights get bright he is still a Tiger and does not deserve much of the bashing that happens from this site.

Yes ...how in the hell is it that you can see NEXT YEAR..this may prove to be right, but TODAY.
It is an IGNORANT statement.

There's been a running rumor up here for a few months now that Lee will be at NSU next year.

Lots of smoke but no real substantiated fire. I think he'd probably check in somewhere closer to home (like McNeese) but the Peveto connection is there too so..

If he could get full release from LSU, he could start at Nebraska right now!! THat guy sucks up there and an offense like that is perfect for someone like LEE.

Not even sure anymore about the circumstances, if possible, for somene to be able to play the next year for a Div I school.

Lee had a better passer rating than Stafford had at GA his first year starting.
