What's funny about this is that Jamar Chase could literally surpass Burrow as the GOAT hero at this school if he pulled this off and had a great season.

That wouldn’t happen if Chase played TWO more great seasons.

He can't but I fully expect at least 1 WR that plays this year to get drafted above him now that he's sitting out. I know some of these guys see it as strictly a business and may not love LSU the same way we do but no way I'm missing playing a year at LSU just to train for the draft. I somewhat understand it but I wouldn't do it.

He can't improve his stock, but he isn't a guaranteed top 5 pick either. In my opinion, he likely isn't a top 5 pick, even though he has top 5 talent.

Love they guy, but being a great college player doesn't mean you will be a great NFL player.

Why wouldn’t you do it?????? New qb , new passing coordinates. Even in this strange time we are going through he could still look not as good or have a serious injury..... it’s a tight line. Now do I WISH he would be on the team this year???? YES. But I don’t blame him for taking the option of not playing.

But as I have said before... LSU fans are really really spoiled and selfish. It’s ONLY what the player can do for LSU. The players future they do not care about..... the bashing of a great LSU player in this thread is astounding......

He will have that in pros too

I understand why he would sit and don't blame home one bit though

You will be wrong. He would have been the first wr taken in a loaded draft last year. Multiple highly rated CB’s who were drafted said he was the best wr they faced without hesitation. Scouts aren’t going to care if he doesn’t play and honestly would probably rather him sit out and guarantee him to come in healthy. Look what happened to Delpit.

Ja’Marr can do what he wants. If he was my son and a sure top pick he would not play. Business decision. Fans have no right to bash him. He paid the price and did the work to put himself in this position. Not the fans. Ja’Marr will not play at LSU again.

What’s interesting is Verge mentioning RC. That means the athletic department has received some emails about RC, the program and coach O. They are trying to calm the fanbase. Without tickets purchased And TAF donations there is a big hole in the athletic budget.

Only reason this season, is fan gratification.

In a normal year, sitting out brings character into question. That's not the case this year.

We all WANTED to see him another year... we all WANTED to see a normal year, with full stadium, with a home game vs Texas etc.
At this point, college games are about "getting the brand out" this year. It seems that a lot of things are held together by duct tape, and some of it is unraveling. I can't fault someone for not risking his future in this specific scenario.

If he slides a little he goes to a better team.

You can bet that Burrow wants him. I would expect the Bengals to take him or an O lineman with a top 5 pick

Poor great LSU player. He's going to the NFL to make million$. How horrible for him that some online shite-posting hurt his fee fees.
