You're unreal. Jamarcus was an outstanding college QB.

Les has won waayyyy more games than your boy Jamarcus.
Let's see how many games Les wins coaching the Raiders.

Less than JaMarcus is my guess. But to their credit, both got paid and have sucked since.

Don't know why this was such a big story. Richard Seymour skipped the meeting too and Cable told the media JR was excused. Cable tried to blame the whole crappy team on JR so I doubt he would be doing him any favors.

The '06 LSU team may have been the most talented I have seen. I think people give JR some grief because he was the QB on that team and didn't win the NC. He had a fantastic JR season at LSU though.

fricking idiot.

if Russell didn't have it between the ears as a college QB then Flynn definitely didn't and Jefferson must have it more since he started games as a true freshmen and all of them as a sophomore and Flynn started one bowl game as a sophomore then didn't see a field until he was in his fifth year. If Russell was so fricking dumb, why couldn't Flynn out play him and win the starting job?

The kid isn't done. He may have a bad work ethic but he's guaranteed money. Even if he sucks, they pay him. Easy to fall into that lackadaisical mindset when you're young and irresponsible.

If they cut him, 5 teams with track records of developing QBs would bid on him to have him on their roster. If they cut him, you get a guy at a basement price with decent potential.

He'll be employed for the next 4-6 years regardless somewhere until it's apparent he will never grasp a playbook or be able to read a Cover 2.

Sounds like an LSU/Les Miles situation.

It's a big story because the HATERS out there like to make it bigger than it really is. These internet tough guys like to beat down the man, because he drives a Rolls Royce and they can't afford gas for their Civic.

This guy came out the closet at birth. He is quite clear on where he stands. Look at his picture, its a hint to his line of thinking.

Funny thing about all the Quarterbacks playing with the Raiders.. All the QBs have gotten hurt and their franchise haven't improved in the area as of yet. JaMarcus Russell has been the only one that has been tough enough to withstand the blows given to him... Another thing to think about, the Raiders' receivers can't catch. I have seen perfectly thrown passes by JaMarcus but only to see them being dropped by his receivers... The only one on that team that can catch the ball is a 6'5'' 260 lbs TE Zach Miller but the guy isn't that fast to get the extra yards.
There is just something rotten and abnormal about playing with the Oakland Raiders... That team has been through 4 head coaches in the last 6 years...

Once JaMarcus Russell leaves that team and lands on another Team he will show the nation how good he really is...

Exactly!! JaMarcus isn't done yet, at least not in the NFL. I think he is certainly done in Oakland (though who knows with Davis and whatever puppet coach he brings in), but the best thing for the Raiders and JaMarcus is to part ways.

JaMarcus is at a turning point and he really does need to start working at being a NFL QB, not just collecting a check.

Well said. People around here who don't know what constructive criticism is could take some lessons from a few posters like you.

Maybe you should check the quarterback rating or the other Raider Quarterbacks prior to posting. In the game in which Gradkowski was injured the team flat quit when JR entered the game.

maybe u should check out week 14 or 15, where Frye and Losman both left for injury and JR came in and threw the game winning TD.

Sounds like more of an indictment of the rest of team for giving up instead of trying to help pickup a teammate who's struggling, shitty teams do that kind of thing.
