I'm trying to remember who it was against, but I'm drawing a blank. Does anyone remember what team it was where he faked out two pass rushers on the same play?

Ole Miss. Capped it off with a long bomb to Early Doucet with a flick of his wrist running to his left

Thank you. Found a 240p clip of it on YouTube with that. Hoping I can find a better quality of it now

2006 game? If Coach O's undermanned black bears had pulled that out, he might still be in Oxford. Crazy shite

His throw to dorcet in the corner of the end zone in 2005 at ASU is still one of my favorite Russell to dorcet moments

I still don’t understand how they didn’t overturn that catch. Doucet looked like he was playing hot potato.

The 2007 game at Oxford was much closer than the score as well; that's why I knew CEO was a good hire. He assembled a great roster there from basically nothing and got fired prematurely bc Black Bear fans are delusional af

*Doucet. But yeah I was watching that with a bunch of displaced Katrina ppl in MS. LSU should've just dominated by pounding the rock, but Addai fumbled and let them take the momentum iirc

That 2006 LSU team sure sucked dick at times even with the roster being as good as it was. We had a ton of close games that she should have dominated. And of course we looked incompetent in the losses against Auburn and UF. That team should have been better than it was.

I don’t think we could have beaten UF at the end of the year honestly. They were just the best team that year, contrary to what many LSU fans think.

Florida's offense was meh that year. If LSU had opened things up a little bit against them and Auburn instead of trying to run (sadly) ineffective Justin Vincent and Alley Broussard constantly we would have rekt both of them. That was just classic Miles, wasting talent

Replay was a thing back in 2005, right? I remember also thinking it wasn’t a catch back then. Rewatching it now, no way it would not get overturned. Oh well

lolwut

yeah O recruited well at Ole Miss, but his record was awful. and it wasn't like the program was terrible when he took over, Cutcliffe had winning records every year but his last, and Tuberville wasn't too shabby either.

obviously O has gotten better as a coach, but saying you thought his ability to assemble a "great roster" was why he was a good hire is weird. especially since said great roster went 0-8 in the SEC his last year and was a terrible offensive team. good recruiter/ bad game day product sounds like a worse Les Miles.
