That’s an interesting list. A lot of variety.

Man that’s one of the hardest things for us fans that played sports is to realize that some us worked and did all we could to be a decent high school player. Then you got JR who had more talent than anyone in college football at the QB position, and all I could say, like I’m sure 90% of those that played in HS, if had that much talent I would’ve been all world. He was a great QB but never quite got it, but he did get 34mill$ guaranteed and now just sits around sippin on sissur thinking bout the ole days like a rec hero and us thinking about what could’ve been.

The 2007 game at Oxford was much closer than the score as well

Yep! I was there and still wonder what in the frick Ole Miss coaches were thinking to pull that running QB out(who we could not stop) on the goal line and put in their Sr pro style QB, who subsequently threw us a gift of an interception in the end zone. Ole Miss self destructed after that. Them poor players were screwed by bad coaching but I'm glad we won!

I can’t believe how crappy tv was back then and I’m 39. Just never remembered how horrible SD was.

His throw to dorcet in the corner of the end zone in 2005 at ASU is still one of my favorite Russell to dorcet moments

Great throw but no catch in reality

I thought JR was a good QB, but the one thing that always got to me is that he never felt the pocket pressure. He would stand there like he was still in high school and 160 pound white kids were about to attempt to tackle him. Then he would get up (after a 230 linebacker nailed him to the ground) and look as tho he had no idea he had just gotten tackled. And then do the exact same thing.

We had a ton of close games that she should have dominated. And of course we looked incompetent in the losses against Auburn and UF
typical les miles at lsu, yeah he beat a lot of teams, but it was so frustrating at times when talent wise, lsu should destroy teams like this. & at times we had games like these

Accuracy sucked! Probably because He went in unprepared.

Then he flicked 25 biscuits into his mouth and ate his way out of the NFL.

He assembled a great roster there from basically nothing

Houston Nutt won For a couple years because of the talent O left him. Also why anytime LSU take a chance on a lower rated recruit I am ok with it. O may be the best pure evaluator of talent in the country. That goes for the players and the staff he brings in.

He relied solely on his talent. He never knew how to fully read a defense. He would just drop back and wait for one of his talented receivers to come uncover and throw a laser to them. He was still able to bounce off of guys in college a lot too.

HD tv’s were really expensive when they first came out do a lot of people just didn’t do it for the few channels at the time you could get HD on.
