You have to use what you have. Bama has titles to brag about and LSU has some titles and good draft history to use... winmore titles and we can change our tune.
FWIW, Bama uses the “come here to get to the NFL” angle too. They just throw in the title stuff for convincing guys to sit behind current stars

My question is how big of a tool do you have to be to criticize what we actually do right around here? If we didnt have the track record we have of players in the NFL just what exactly would we be able to use to attract 4-5 star talent to BR?

"Sorry, but" he took into account the reality of the situation and made a decision. One that his teammates support. At the time he opted out, multiple major conferences weren't even set to play football for 2020.
How this illegitimate asterisk season played out and how his draft stock is playing out, proves beyond any doubt that he absolutely made the right decision.
