I get it's for recruiting but frick the NFLSU thing still makes me cringe. Bama was stacking up titles while we were posting memes of how many NFL players we had. Always felt like the worlds shittiest consultation prize as a fan.
ETA: I get what its for and I think the gear is a kick arse idea..... just always annoyed me. Especially when we had NFL talent that we didnt do shite with that bounced as soon as they could

While I agree, as a program you have to find a way to recruit at a high level and from that vantage point, the NFLSU is a great idea. You can’t just sit on your hands because Alabama is winning titles, you find something you’re good at and promote it. LSU historically has been really good at getting guys into the league.

NFLSU is not for you, its for the players, most of which from Louisiana. Many dream to play for LSU, many dream bigger.

This. I think players felt like they were coming to LSU bc it was an NFL mill....a means to an end, not because they wanted to play for a great program they cared for. It does feel different now, but that's sure how it felt in the Les days

Sorry, but this guy used Covid for selfish reasons and bailed on teammates to keep his draft stock high and avoid injury. You can't put him on a pedestal and then turn around and get pissed off at other players like Gilbert for being selfish.
