Well he has to partially float his life while getting paid peanuts for several years at least - plus, that is not that much money in 2026 to spread over several years.

Not like he can go invest all of it.

Not saying he was underpaid at all, just saying post taxes, agent fees, etc. and presumably getting paid shite wages for several years in the minors can make that money evaporate. Didn't some dealership just post a pic of him buying an expensive truck? I'm sure NIL money is still there though.
