My son broke his hamate bone in High School. If I remember right he had his surgery on 4/19. At 7 weeks post-surgery he was at 80 - 85% and was back playing ball again in summer league. Its more of a pain tolerance thing for most players. I've read some players are back at 4-5 weeks. My son's recovery followed the exact same timeline as Warren Morris'. I know cause I had emailed Warren Morris asking about his recovery and he responded giving me the details. Which I was highly appreciative of.

Obviously it’ll be a longshot but if Griffey can homer in his first AB then brown could do it should he come back

The back end of that article really sums up why I think we'll see so little veteran return next year (Milam, Curiel, Brown). They likely wouldn't have come back anyway, but you see stuff like this:
quote:This is the difference between that group that came back in '17. Not only were they lesser prospects than this crew, but that '16 team had unfinished business. This core already reached the mountain top.
That means a return from injury would likely take place in professional baseball. But even if he never steps on the field in the purple and gold again, Brown will end his LSU career without any regrets. A kid from Sulphur was able to live out his dream.
“I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” Brown said. “I wanted to come here my whole life, and it's really been a dream come true, and I'm really thankful for that.”
