If Miles actually nuts up and fires his BBQ buddies, i suspect Jai might be the nickelback for the real DC that is hired.

you should start a prayer request threat on the OT for this.
or start a march.

i dont think even my prayer request can overcome the fact that Miles' daughter's playdate is Peveto's kid.

i think that is part in why PP doesn't play more than he already does. see him in man to man but i think jai covers more of the zone coverages.

Well then i guess JL doesn't know the playbook either since he has made limited 'plays' on the season. He has made very few "plays", can't read the defense, and is good for 6 pts for the opponent every Saturday. I just don't see how JJ can do that much worse.

See, I think you're the one having a tough time letting go of the negative hype from last year. The hype out of high school had already worn off last year and most people I heard were convinced he was a bust coming in to the season.

I think he's played great, and while I agree he has slipped a few times, Harvin makes pretty much everyone grab air, and lots of others have had trouble with the turf in Tiger Stadium this year too.

I think Jai has outplayed Hawkins, and PP looks like a superstar in the making.

I think Hawkins is odd man out.

I agree. I think he's been our best corner all year, as Hawkins is thrown at the most out of the two. Obviously though Peterson's got a higher ceiling than either and should be starting ASAP.

be honest. if he was having that great of a season we wouldn't be seeing PP that much or PP would be subing in for hawkins.

Unless PP is Jai's backup and Hawkins's backup is Phelon Jones.

No one had a tough time letting go of Jai's hype. Jai looked terrible last year anytime he was in the game, I was scared shitless when it became apparent that he would be a starting corner. He's improved tremendously and surpassed my expectations.

I'd like to see Jai possibly play the nickel spot, full-time, or split with Francois. Have Hawkins, Peterson, Brooks and P. Jones play corner, and Hatcher, McCray, Coleman and C. Jones rotate at Safety. B Taylor will redshirt this year and provide depth at CB next year. That's MY DB wishlist for 2009. (I think McCray looks much better as a safety.)

they all play cornerback. and if you break it down to left or right, please just don't bother responding.

There is a difference in playing weak side or strong side corner.

Jai has played well, he's playing the ball this year...looking back for it, last year he just ran into the man while in perfect position. Next year we are going to be very strong in the CB position with Jai, Hawkins, PP, Phelon Jones, and Brandon Taylor.

I think Safety has been the problem. I don't think it was a coincidence that the defense appeared more confident vs Bama. I think Jai has played better than most expected.

our pass coverage problems are due to our LBs and Safetys not our CBs

Jai was villified before the season started. I think he has been a bright spot in the secondary. Exceeded many peoples expectations.
