Definitely a possibility but I don't think you are looking at the entire picture.
You have to look at the entire picture before you make conclusions.
He was the #1 rated safety in high school last year. He was ranked #18 in the country out of all positions. LSU didn't have any strong incumbents at safety so both spots were up for the taking. Delpit who was lower ranked than Stevens started on Saturday. The tea leaves are saying there is a story behind the scenes and the public doesn't know it yet.
If the recruiting services and our coaches were correct in his status as #1 safety in the class and #18 player overall, and if you are playing freshman he is one of the ones you want to play if you got it right on his assessment.
I guess what I am saying is I don't buy it with them switching him to offense and he didn't see a snap in a 27-0 blowout when 17 other freshman did. Yeah something stinks with what is going on with Jacoby that is for sure.

Ok if that statement is true then our coaching staff did a horrible job of analyzing his play. You don't take the #1 ranked safety in the class and move them to WR - which we have a plethora of and getting more each year - and then not play him unless there is more to the story which I believe there is.

This is entire post is off. Youre assuming that they freakin didnt assess his recruitment the right way and that he may not be as talented as thought? Yiure forgetting the Todd Harris and Delpit were both in the class as well, who were some of the highest rated safeties in high school as well. And as we saw the other night, looked like that was spot on, they can play. That then allows you to take a supreme talent like Stevens and move him to offense because he is a big time difference maker with the ball in his hands. Stevens wasnt going to fail as a safety, he would have shined like Adams. He is just that special to move him to offense where he can touch the ball. He just switched over a month ago. He's learning the offense. Lsu had alot of talent at WR already and those guys have been grinding and itching to play for a few yrs. Stevens will be eased in, and it will be a damn show! I cant imagine Guice, CEH, Stevens, Dillon, and Chark all on the field at the same time. I mean, thats ridiculous with someone like Canada calling plays.
