UCF claiming a national championship, you’re getting a glimpse of what Non-ULL folks think about the Louisiana thing. If UCF had actually won the tittle, then respect to that. If ULL were to become the head of the Louusiana system one day and are legally free to exclusively use the name University of Loyusiana, then respect to that.

Are there a ton of threads on Bama boards about the UCF claimed championship? I doubt it, but I don't frequent Bama boards. I just feel like it LSU fans truly didn't care about it, they wouldn't constantly bring it up. If it was really nothing, then you'd just ignore it.

If this happened, no one from Louisiana's Ragin Cajuns would care. It's just hilarious that a segment of LSU fans take this as a threat.

No, I don't think LSU feels "threatened".

I would say "annoyed" because ULL is so "in your face" about the whole name issue and they have been for years. Step outside your "bubble" of Louisiana and you will see that the rest of the nation laughs at you over all this.

Visit the forum "ultimatecollegesoftball.com" and surf around, since softball at ULL is their most nationally visible sport. The posters who have no interest in ULL or LSU laugh at how pushy the ULL people are about what they are called. It is played out. Call yourself what you want, just be aware that you are opening yourselves up to ridicule because of how obnoxiously pushy you all are about it.

I would say that the rest of the nation probably doesn't care at all. I really don't care what the school brands itself as, the only time that I pretend to care is when some LSU fan is butthurt about it, because at that point it's just funny.

The past is the past. We here at Louisiana only live in the present and the future unlike USL. But if we’re going to talk about the past then we have a lot more to brag about concerning the past

And they don't, until the subject comes up and they ask "what's up with this ULL-Louisiana thing". Then they say "ah, how silly and trifling of them" and then move on with their day.

Let me guess, the 1987 1-AA National Championship. Do me a favor and take a look at the regular season schedule and results. Then, come back and tell me what you find. And outside of that, please enlighten me on ULM's colorful sports history.

There are about the same amount of threads on the UCF subject over there (and anywhere there’s a sports discussion board) when it’s brought up by a poster as there is for this over here once it’s been brought up by a poster. Then nothing the rest of the time, same on both boards.

Either way it doesn’t change the perception that people have of ULL when the Louisiana crying happens, and that’s regardless of what they say to your face.

Is water skiing even considered an NCAA sport?

Is ULM's sports that sad to where you have to use club sports to trash talk?

Yea apparently you don't because between Bama players commenting about it on twitter and the Bama fans being pissed about it that's all they talked about for a week.

There are ULM and ULL fans arguing about water skiing national championships. MAN Louisiana school fans are salty about shite that I didn't know people cared enough to get salty about.

From an outsider's perspective, sports wise, it looks like it goes LSU > ULL > Tulane > ULM.

I don't see why these schools can't root for each other when not playing each other. But what do I know? I could be wrong about everything!

Your hate for LSU runs deeper and longer than being Louisiana. You DO matter for one MAYBE two days a year. I pull for ALL things Louisiana except impostors.

We’re too damn competitive in Louisiana. Once the postseason comes around it seems like whichever Louisiana schools are still left we root for but during the regular season it’s a bloodbath

The Pac-12, the so-called "league of champions" by the head dolt himself, Bill Walton, claims among their eleven billionty championships about 30 snow skiing titles won by Utah and Colorado, most of which occurred 30 or more years before either school entered the conference. Water skiing might be just a club sport though?

It's kind of hard to when we were in 1A playing Alabama and Memphis while you were playing Northwestern State and Eastern Kentucky.

Who says I hate LSU? I just laugh at your denied paranoia of what we do or what we call ourselves.
