Just my opinion. The student section and the yellow seats next to them always are empty first. It's pathetic how sad the best atmosphere in college football has gotten. We can blame the corporations for buying up most of the tics and pricing out the old school fans but one of our biggest problems is the student section, which is the cheapest tickets.

Really? I was told the other day that several of those groups are required to stay for the full games. The guy who told me said that was fine with him because he stays anyway.

This is COLLEGE football. Without the students there is no college, without the college there is no football. Understand this, if anything the student section should be upgraded. LSU student section is the best in the country. You can suck it.

I didn't read half of this thread but, as a student who did stay the entire game, the section that was most depleted was the "Greek" section. Take that FWIW.

This idea about the "old school atmosphere" is complete horseshite. When people were staying for the entire game, LSU wasn't blowing out teams routinely.
Death Valley is intimidating when it needs to be. Nothing more, nothing less. WTF is wrong with that?

Reduce the number of tickets, but you need to keep a few students in the stadium.
