It's obvious that LSU is playing with a chip on their shoulder...

and who can blame em for being disrespected by Wake after game 1. From a fans perspective I think that we have the perfect storm coming together.
Our bullpen and bats are working together at the right time when we need them most.
Geaux Tigers.

Wake’s team just irritates me. Especially their smug arse catcher that throws the ball around the horn before the ump even calls strike 3.
Never seen a team act like that

Yep, while wake is playing scared and tight. Can't wait to see them absolutely meltdown tonight while Skenes mows down batter after batter.

I wouldn't say 18 runs in 4 games (4.5 per) was really “Working”. Especially considering how potent this offense can be, seeing as they averaged 10+ runs per game during the regular season.
Conversely our supposed “piss poor” bull pen has been AMAZING at the CWS. Only allowing 8 total runs thru 4 games (2 rpg) is just other-worldly!!!
So heres to Skenes slammin the door on that ragtag bunch of Face Humping Homos from Witch killin country. Then its on to Florida & their melon headed HC O’Sullivan.

They should be worried. It was an absolute must for them to take the game last night. The only good thing for them is they can use the “nobody is giving us a chance against Skenes” angle.

I don't know what our bats will do tonight, but after seeing the at bats from Wake Forest in this tournament, I think they will make very little contact against Skenes. They chase a lot, get locked up on pitches up in the zone, and struggle with velocity.
They haven't seen anything close to Skenes. As long as he is executing, I just don't see Wake doing anything against him. But on 4 days rest, which he's never done before, I don't know that we can count on him going more than 6 innings. So he can't do it all by himself, but Hurd and Guidry will be available, and that should be enough, if the bats can just put up 2 or 3.
A blowout, though highly unlikely, would be nice. You could save Hurd, and have two of your top 3 starters available on normal (or basically normal) rest for the weekend. With Hurd only having thrown 3 innings on Monday, I'd start him first, then Ty. I'm fully anticipating we see Hurd at some point today, though.

It will be Skenes then Hurd to finnish I think too. It's been great to see those 2 kids bond like they have this season. Like a big bro lil bro relationship
