re: It's mind boggling to think about 2019's defense and now watch what we have now!

This was too long to read but LSU didn’t have one of the most dominating defenses in 2019. What are you talking about?
This is so stupid. Look at how many players we had go the NFL and still playing. We had one of the best defenses just overshadowed with the most elite offense in history

I don't disagree with they had talent, but numbers don't lie. Ranking in the 40s nationally and middle, at best, in the SEC isn't "one of the best." Live in reality. You don't need elite defense to win. You just have to not be the worst like this year.

Thanks for those stats! I knew some players had jumped ship, but I had no idea it was that bad! I guess Coach O really screwed us over as he walking out the door with his $17M! That's freaking embarrassing!

Man give it a rest. Our defense is what it is. BK will get this fixed one way or another. I personally know it's not a simple problem and not one coaches fault. WE LACK TALENT AND EXPERIENCE. If it's coaching he will correct that.

I watched ole miss QB J. R. Plumlee rush for 217 yards against the 2019 defense. They did get better as the year went. The 2019 defense was pretty good at times but I would take the 2011 defense every year. That was probably the best defensive unit I have ever seen at LSU. They finished 2nd in the country behind the gumps

We don’t have a D right now.

I'll always go to bat for the 2019 defense. Especially once they were fully healthy.
I guess, but when it mattered most they were great. They held Lawrence to 0 TD passes and Etienne well under 100 yards rushing.
People make too much of the Vandy game where Aranda literally said they were using that game to tinker some things. It was never going to be in doubt. I believe we had guys out as well. Not sure why anyone cares about that game.
The Ole Miss game was one incredibly fast QB running all over our defense and I believe Delpit was a liability not at full strength off injury.
After the Ole Miss game they were very good.
Arkansas - 20 points
A&M - 7 points
Georgia - 10 points
OU - 28 points (they had like the 2nd best offense in football)
Clemson - 25 points
I'd say that was very very very good considering the competition. They held 8 teams to under 21 points.
