USC's defense will be better than people think. Michael Morgan and Luther Brown will be solid LBs and the D-line will be very good. The offense will be dynamite if Sanchez returns.

That game was lost because of two unforced mental errors that brought along two 15 yard penalties. That was not the only reason we lost obviously but you can't say that D-Mac leaving didn't have a negative effect on the team.
I'm not saying that. I thought he and Felix WERE their team. I thought that without them, we would walk all over them. Despite that, they beat us. I thought we could have easily overcome 2 15 yard penalties to win, but we couldn't.

Any others??
1. Saban's due to lay another egg with the QB siutation which he doesn't handle well.
2. Auburn sucks donkey balls.
3. The SEC east looks to be weak except UF
4. Some kid on CBSsportsline.com ranked us #1

the defense will be stout once again

Please cite evidence for this proposition. I want evidence beyond a team without any passing game before I get fired up about our defense.

Just because we hope it will be "stout" does not make it so.

USC has a better shot at the MNC in 2009 than we do.

They were 4-7. We got beat by a shitty team and turned Casey Dick into an all-SEC QB

Keep the Vols and Vandy on the radar. UGA not too worried especially with Staford and Knowsean gone remember they beat us in the air. South Carolina not too worried about. Even if Tebow and Harvin come back they still have a new O Coach, plus I think JJ will pick and run the defense apart. Auburn not worried. Bama won't be the same caliber. Keep Mullen's offense on the radar at Miss. Watch out for Ol piss and Arkansas is going down.

I think the season is looking good, now expeirenced QB and offense and Stack defensive coaching to bring back our steel curtain.

I was thinking JJ he looked real good in the bowl game with throwing and running. Plus, if JL learns to not telegraph his passes and look off receivers we have good experience.

He did. He's still inexperienced.

There is no evidence that Lee will ever progress and so all his experience is lost.

Les sticking with Lee for most of the season is my biggest concern. Give an extra game or two to #9 and I would feel a lot better about the QB position for 2009.

You guys will have to face possibly the best team UF has ever fielded next october. No one will be picking our defense apart, I will guarantee you that.

And there's also the bane of CFB's existance: "TIM TEBOW". Maybe you've heard of him?

Not as much as you would think. We promoted from within the system, someone who has been being groomed for several years. There won't be much of a dropoff. Plus, Meyer is intimately involved in the O. He's not Bobby Bowden, ya know.

What does it say about the state of the program when we celebrate player departures as a means to bring them down to our level?

If Les needs to take care of 4-6 we will not need to worry about 1-3.

Nah...I agree with the OP. Both teams will field mediocre upper classmen. Georgia's got Joe Cox...and he lost the job to freshman Stafford....don't see him lighting the world on fire. Bama's got some mediocre senior or a talented redshirt freshman, Star Jackson.

Neither team will be replacing the QB that left...both teams will be considerably less talented/less experienced at the position (which is saying something in Bama's case cause JPW wasn't that great).

No Percy. He was the best player on your team, by far.
