I can handle the talk of the rematch and such. However, the one thing that irks me more than anything else is the aspect that Bama has already punched their ticket to title game.

Is college football as a whole saying it's better to lose and punch your ticket to the game this way? I understand the aspect of they needed things to fall into place for them to have an opportunity to make it.

But I just don't like the lack of respect that a 12-0 LSU team receives as compared to an Alabama team that did LOSE to the #1 team in the country, and lost on their own home field (A LOSS IS A LOSS) and in all actuality played hardly anyone else. Arkansas isn't great, we exposed that, and what? Who else? Penn State? I can see the detriment to LSU in that statement, but at least we played a good Oregon team who I believe(?) is going to win their conference, and a good WV team. What else has Bama done to punch their ticket, lose your most important game?

I just dont understand how you can justify placing Alabama in the title game ahead of LSU whether we win or lose next week. We should be in, and maybe, if, unlikely we lose to Georgia, then and only then should Bama have the possibility the conceive an opportunity to replay LSU. Not LSU the chance to REPLAY Alabama. It should be LSU vs. _______. We earned the right to represent our conference and institution in the National Championship with a strong undefeated season.

I'm thinking we drop the SECCG and it will be Bama-Okie State for the title. Not fair, but that's the system.

After the way we got into the 2003 and 2007 games, I don't see you could put all that energy into thinking about all that... muchness typing it all.

If you think it is better to lose then you have no soul. This team is on a mission and is a collective 500 pound gorilla with a 20 inch chainsaw for a cock that rapes and pillages it weekly opponents. We do not lose, JUST SO YOU KNOW.

Um, not a statement. More along the lines of a question and frustration bearing message. I just have the opinion that we have lost the recognition that we do deserve. Now I mean nothing in this cycle but I would prefer that we are granted or respected as to having the first opportunity to play in the title game, not another team who lost and is being crowned as the grand winner in this system.

???? IMHO since we beat Bama, every national pundit has had LSU penciled in the MNC game. The talk has been all about who we will play.

Sure, they would like to see more upsets, which equal BCS chaos. They want chaos = ratings = destruction of BCS = playoff = talk up how teams can beat LSU. If they said all day that no team could beat LSU, then no one outside the Tiger nation would watch.

This calmed me down some about the situation, maybe it's the football gods striking some karma into our asses and we just have to grin and bear it....and compete in a one way, double elimination path to the crystal ball.

If there is a "rematch", We will beat Bama handily and the embarrassment to their program will be huge. It would be incredibly unfair to us, and a mockery to the system, but frick it.

It's not about fear, it's about fair.

Even if Bama were to beat us, it would be a break even and nothing more. Sure Bama just wants their shot, but regardless of the outcome, they will look less than.

No, it's not better to lose. Yes, they not only needed things that were out of their control to fall into place for them (we never did at any point this season), but they were also left with no margin for error because they lost. Meanwhile, it seems pretty likely that we could lose a game and still get in. We're in a much better position than they are.

Also, part of the perceived unfairness dealt with the fact that we had to play Arkansas and Georgia to get in, while they only really had Auburn to worry about. That's just a product of the schedule. Win or lose vs. Bama, we were still going to have to play Arkansas, so that didn't get any tougher for us because we won. Georgia? OK, yes, but that's the price we pay for wanting to be SEC champions, and for wanting to be in control of our own fate and not worry about what anyone else does.

I don't see any lack of respect for LSU except the few complete retards here and there who have said that Alabama is a better team, but I'm kind of glad they're out there because it may help motivate our team even more.

I don't think that would happen. If we had lost to Arkie, maybe it would have, since Bama beat them soundly. But Bama hasn't played Georgia, so losing to them would be less of a problem.

Bottom line, we got a lot of benefit from beating Alabama, and they got little or none from losing to us. They'd be in better shape right now if they had beaten us, and we'd be in worse shape if we had lost to them.

This shite bothers me so bad, Didn't win conference and beaten by LSU and still they get to go to the BCS Title Game. Just because some idiots decides to drop them 1 spot down the ranking even though LSU beat them at their house.

They can say what they want...at the end of the day, they'd still rather switch places with us and be in Atlanta with an undefeated record next weekend.

I have complete confidence in this team. They'll beat whomever your put in front of them...no matter how many times you put someone in front of them.

No flame but how the frick can you say LSU isn't getting any respect??? Everyone has LSU penciled in. People debate who their opponent should be. ESPN is not in the business of stroking LSU's cock...nor Bama or any other University. Give it a break and be glad that you have a great team that is undefeated.

This, I'm tired of hearing "You can't lose at home and go to the ship". How we quickly forget how we got in.

Let the voters decide. If it's based on the two best teams, we'll be playing Bama.
