He is the assistant cheerleading coach that was paralyzed in a boating accident a few months ago.

Agreed. I was crazy pissed, but I tried to pull myself together and give him a round of applause.

I actually thought it was the right time. Got people off their arse and gave him an ovation.

Is he still re-habbing in Atlanta ? If so,and he's up to it hopefully the team can come by and if he's up to it come to the ballgame.

I agree...

But as a general observation...Am I the only person that has noticed these "in game" introductions have become a bit excessive and annoying.

Seems like this use to be done maybe once or twice a game. Now it seems like an endless stream of introductions.

Even "Too much" of a good thing gets old.

someone is honored or recognized after every change of possession. i think skip bertman gets inducted into the lsu hall of fame three times every year.
either a recognition or piped in music has to be going on during every stoppage of play.
i miss just hearing the golden band play during those breaks.
