Noob, you are the first person to post about "The Sound of Music" in a topic about LSU Football.

Yeah... guess it takes a "veteran" to take it to the next level though

Ponchy, why do you and the other 267 people feel the need to do this? Every year, we lose a game or two, and more than enough people feel the need to remind us that "it's one game" or "Quit being negative". For once, I'd love to get on TD.com and see original threads and no "Rah-rah, look at me I am going to call out negative people" threadss. And yes...it's Thursday night/Friday morning. Everyone is fine. Most of us were over it on Monday.

Whoa calm down Pisces... it was one thread... everything is fine

It was one damn game ppl.....
have some fricking faith in our team.
Its not the one game that has me upset. It is what the defense has produced over the course of 5 games that has me upset. As I posted on another thread - a well coached team (let's stick to defense for this example) does not produce average to below average results 5 games in a row.
Every champ going back to 2000 finished in the top ten in at least one of the two following defensive categories - Total D and Scoring D. LSU in 2003 finished #1 in both categories. LSU last year finished # 3 in Total D and #17 in Scoring D. We currently rank 32 nationally in Total D giving up 303 yds a game and 52 nationally in scoring giving up 22 pts a game.
This is disturbing given how the D is trending, sans Pelini. The Co-D decision was not a good one, but Miles' decision to replace Fisher with Crowton was. Miles can recognize and attract coaching talent to the program. He either had limited options to choose from in the offseason or he felt like Mallory and Peveto earned the chance. He needs to cut the losses and stop tossing the players under the bus. Calling out your players while at the same time not bringing the coaching into the debate is an almost certain recipe for mutiny.

Were all you people posting on this same board when the overwhelming majority of posters were predicting a 2-3 loss year? Were y'all expecting to go undefeated? That's not hardly realistic. Before the season started, I was reading all of the TD.com experts say, "The defense is weak. The LB's are weak. The DB's are weak." I'm not seeing why averyone is so shocked, upset, and disappointed. We only have one loss. If I had to skip all of the negative, "OMG what are we gonna do? The defense is ranked too low!" threads, that would be most of them. What the hell would I do with my time at work?

I agree. A good portion of the same people, coming into the season, were saying that the "weakness" this year was supposed to be the DBs and the LBs. Now that we realize that this is true, its the defensive coordinators thats the problem..
The retards, i mean rantards, will even complain when they are right...

NO – it’s not just one game that causes concern. It’s an underachieving defense that’s been that way before this season ever commenced. Last week only cemented what was painfully obvious weeks before. A+ talent. B grade coaching.
HILARIOUS!
This is EXACTLY what all the Gaytors have been crying about until they pounded us. "The offense is sluggish." "We can't stop any body." "We lost to Ole Miss." Their was even talk about if Urban had lost the team.
Sound familiar??????????

quote:We're not going to be "the champs" this year and the sooner you realize that, the better you will feel watching the games for the rest of the season. No football 'expert' with any credibility at all including 90% of the people on this board (some who have no credibility) expected LSU to win it all this year. We were going to lose at least 2 games, people have preached this since the spring and since RP pulled his shenanigans. It really shouldn't be that surprising. We need to improve on defense and cut down the turnovers on offense and we will be fine, have a great season, and a good bowl game- maybe even an SECCG appearance.

But you're a fool if you think we are going to win it all this year or go undefeated- you're just setting yourself up for a big fall if you honestly believe that. You can hope for it, but its' not really a realistic result.

Yeah... until they pounded us. The key part of that is that they pounded us.
